    JUST A TIP: I have the Zero Blue and the plastic for the ear hook is a hard enough material that you can heat them up (heat gun, or lighter... i used a lighter) and you can reform the hooks to sit better on your head :) Doesnt need a lot of heat and they stay in the reformed position Very well. reformed mine like a month ago and theyre still holding their shape and feel soooo much better than the original form.

    • @deathsaidhello
      @deathsaidhello 9 месяцев назад

      @@Manny-lc1mf ive been running iems for years, the zero blues offer great detail for gaming in general, and sure you might find some that do something specifically better than others but these are a fine spot for gaming in the IEM space no doubt. the zero blues have been my ears for about 6 months and i can confidently say i havent misses a sound cue, granted i havent missed since starting to use IEMs, but zero just add a layer of clarity when the action starts to pop off. The bass makes the gunfire and the footsteps feel more intense but also gives a better mental space for your surroundings while also not being prominent enough to drown out the world around you.
      Basically, you cant go wrong with these for gaming especially if you pair them with a decent DAC. the DAC i use is the FOSI AUDIO DAC-Q4. its perfect for my use case.
      The only issue is the set requires you to have either big earholes or you better be ready to stretch your earholes lol
      I used the DUNU Titan S for a while before the Zero Blues and the size difference is wild.

      The blues are unmistakably V-shaped that's why the video mentions more impact and (perceived) stageing. but for listening to music the reds are the best option tho you may need some detox at first since they can sound sterile at first, just give your ears a couple of hr and you'll know if it for you. V-shape is not bad or better it's just a different taste. I do have both flat and v headphones just because they don't overlap, some days you want to have a deep bass hitting your face other days you need clarity and detail.

    I’m planning to buy one of these tomorrow as my first IEMs, I just have a question.
    How much “worse” are the Reds compared to Blues for gaming?
    Like, I’m just a casual gamer so I don’t care that much about being competitive. I also listen to a lot of music so that’s why I was going with the REDs.
    But everyone says I should get the blues if my main focus is gaming and I just can’t decide. How close the Reds come to the blues with the impedance adapter?

    • @littletweeter1327
      @littletweeter1327 9 месяцев назад +1

      The reds are better for music in every way and are a physically more capable set. You might hear more footsteps with blues, but relying on footsteps is a bad habit anyways so it really shouldn’t matter much. The reds are incredible for the price. The 10ohm adapter isn’t good imo, it makes everything sound muddy, I don’t know why he said it has the opposite affect as it’s a measurable downgrade in clarity. And if you wanted the blues sound signature you could just EQ the reds to have the same exact signature but on an objectively better set of iems. Ear tips matter a lot too. A wider bore will accentuate highs and a smaller bore will accentuate lows. Tips really are the most important accessory you can buy for iem’s so try some out. Some good ones are dunu s&s, spinfit 145

    • @zerotactix5739
      @zerotactix5739 Год назад

      What Razer sound card? My answer would be, try watching a gameplay video on twitch on your soundcard, and later do the same on your phone. Iems don't do well with surround tech. Standard stereo is better for IEMs, unlike headphones. I went through that phase myself, switching between different 3D solutions and finally settling for standard stereo as it's not compressed. Plus saves you the headache. You need to give it a little time to get used to stereo audio coming from 7.1 n such. Then later you wouldn't want to go back.
      Back to Twitch video. If you feel you prefer the tone on your phone better than on your desktop, then a DAC would just be similar sounding, but clearer and more detailed and louder. Get something like the iFi GO Link or a basic desktop DAC like the iFi Uno. They'd be good for the Zeroes.

    • @zerotactix5739
      @zerotactix5739 Год назад

      Also reg the high pitch, i too faced a similar problem initially. With time i found out that the eartips make a shit ton of difference. You're probably using smaller tips than what your ears need. Try a size larger. Its only when you get a full seal, does the bass truly kick in, and the sharpness / shoutiness diminish.
      Try all the eartips in your iem box. Each will give you a different sound profile. The bigger hole ones are called wide bore tips. Use those to reduce shoutiness as well. It's the white silicone one. Don't bother with the black foams, they increase shoutiness.
