Yea! I enjoy catching the big ones any time, I actually target pickerel a lot in the winter/early spring. I hope to get out Tuesday and make a video from that! Thanks for watching!
I take my 4 year old son fishing. We go in cranbury he caught a tiny pickerel. I'd love to be able to find a good spot but it's not easy with a 4 year old and no boat
There are about 20 + bass clubs that have tournaments out here every year… yea it’s a good bass spot….just like a bunch of other areas in South Jersey .
Could you drop a reply as to which kayak you are using? I'd like to get into kayak fishing and am searching for one person pedal options that are lightweight and easy to transport
Senkos and soft plastic creature baits in deeper water around grass or submerged vegetation in the summer! I also have good luck with a rapala dt-6 crankbait in the deeper holes. But plastics in NJ in the summer are ideal. Topwater in the morning on shallower points/flats!
Hey joe! Thanks for watching and subscribing! I love bass fishing! I usually do some salt water in the late summer for flounder. Thanks for watching! :)

I am from south jersey near Atlantic City! Fishing in north jersey is so much better! We got a lot of shallow weedy lakes down here. Thanks for watching!
@@AlexanderBronskyFishing I normally fish Hopatcong, but I'm tired of getting tossed around. It's a great fishery, but not worth it with all the traffic, and especially coming from Staten Island, it's not exactly cheap, with the tolls and ramp fees. Lately I've been doing cranberry lake, musconetcong, and spruce run....next time out I'll be trying out Deal! Grass doesn't scare me one bit!
@@c.shoefishliving on Staten Island as well basically any trip north of Goethals Bridge is a drag. To much traffic anywhere you go. That's why after exploring my options in North Jersey and upstate around Herinam State Park, past two years I only drive west and south of Outerbridge.
@@TermlessHGW we should link up man and go fish... I still go up towards Hopatcong a bit, but lately I've been hitting spruce run, it Def saves on some tolls and that damn ramp fee at Hopatcong.
@@c.shoefish I've only ever been once at Spruce Run. But that was mid summer and no luck as far as fishing then. Round Valley has some nice fish, especially this time of year. I just figured out where you are at. I have fished there multiple times and the fishing is so good. Definitely not gonna blow that up but it’s a good one for sure.
Pickerel are such underrated fish, caught two today and catching them on light tackle is awesome. They can be true drag rippers.

Caught my limit and missed 3rd place by a few inches! Thanks for watching!
Liked and subscribed, 👍🏻 what size rod is that? I'm still trying to figure out the perfect size yak rod.
Thanks for watching and subscribing! I usually use 6-7ft rods in my kayak. They are perfect for yak fishing!
Hey, which type kayak (brand/model, length) do you use?
Is it farrington
