- Here are a few things we want you to know about the Amalfi Coast. Some of these tips may seem silly but they are all based on true stories!
Please don't take offence by any of these tips. We all laughed when we came up with the ideas and they were all based on real situations that we have seen or been asked.
May I also add (as I know some people will get upset with me for this one - that in some places (in Australia for example) it is perfectly acceptable to walk around town and go grocery shopping bare chested or in a bikini, but please bear in mind every country is different and here that is not allowed. Just remember that the lanes are very narrow and crowded in town and in shops you can't help touch people as you squeeze by in the isles. It is far more pleasant to squeeze by a t-shirt clad body than a naked sweaty one...food for thought!

Love this. My husband and I stayed in Positano last year for the first time. I did SO MUCH research before we left as our time was limited in this glorious place.

Amalfi Coast IS NOT on Pasific Ocean! It's on MEDITERRANE SEA! Half side of Italy (like Trieste, Venice, Rimini) is on Adriatic Sea and Naples, Capri, Positano, Amalfi , Sorrento... also Sicily, Sardeigne are ALL on Mediterrane Sea👍👍👍for your info👍👍👍love from Istanbul (which is in Turkey and big part of the city is on Marmara Sea and little part is on Black Sea👍👍👍😊)

Torn between feeling uncomfortable with the slightly arrogant and burlesque tone of a couple of interviews or actually laughing at our ignorance as tourists.I think of my mother as if she visited Positano.I know she would be one of those wandering lost because her sense of orientation is not optimal, her nervousness due to new surroundings intensifies and not speaking Italian or English would not help either.Once thing is for sure, never judge anyone because everyone is fighting a different battle inside.
But yes, thinking that Capri in the distance is La Sicilia is funny.

Isn’t it just wonderful that when you discover a new (to you) channel, RUclips recommends its videos in random order? It’s a nice binge-inducing feature.
Just got back from Italy and one tip if you are visiting this area and staying over is check the detailed description of your hotel, especially if you are an older person, traveling with senior citizens and kids.. Reason, most of the hotels are located on the hillside and the way up and down can be pretty steep, especially with luggage..
So for example you go downhill off the road to check in, then its another descent to the beach, then climb back to the hotel, then if you go out its climb up again.. We walked down and obviously up 570 steps on our day out at the beach.. Imagine doing this over a period of several days.. So puck your hotel location with Care ..
Your video was so funny!! I love it. I can relate as we live in a very popular coastal village called Knysna. This little village is in the so called garden route of South Africa. So many tourist flock to our village and we see it all. Maybe we should house swap one year!!!

Completely enjoyed this and each person's vignette. It was wonderful "meeting" them virtually. I just subscribed to your channel and I am smitten with this part of Italy. My grandfather hailed from Naples but immigrated to the US wayyyy back in 1910. I have never been to Italy and I am thinking to myself that is #1) possibly a high crime and misdemeanor and # 2) has got to be remedied as quickly as possible and when this whole quarantine thing is blissfully over!! The Amalfi coast is just breathtakingly exquisitely beautiful. Seeing it up close and personal in your vlogs is a treat beyond words! I am certain that in my DNA there is a positive attraction to the Mediterranean climate and to gardening. P.S. happy to report I passed geography in school and I am certain I know the beach is near the water (the Mediterranean) not uphill in the mountains! LOL). Cheers to you and God bless you!!

Oh dear , that crashes my dream of visiting The Amalfi . I was planning to wander around town wearing 😂my itty bitty bikini and walk uphill in my flipflops while searching for the beach. And of course have Bluestar Positano pick me up from the top of the hills in their new air boats ! 😎

Oh my goodness! I don't know how I missed this. I can just hear people asking some of those questions. I'm not the brightest lamp on the table but even I know you can't get to a beach climbing up. Or catch a train to get off an island. Those are my favorites. Sorry I missed this before. Thank you for all the trouble you and everyone go to to make these videos. I remember sitting at Bar Del Sole with my little brother one night and wondering out loud if the sea level in Praiano was the same as the sea level back home in Florida. He looked at me like I had two heads. I may have had a few too many drinks.
It was a holiday, it's allowed!
Oooooooh! I really loved it! What a good idea! And super entertaining. I have only been once, a year and a half ago, bur everything remained fixed in my memory forever! I have recommended visiting to many many people, and no one has been disappointed!
And as for silly questions, I remember having being asked once if we Chileans lived in grass huts, and left our head feathers at home when we went out, so it happens everywhere!
Another wonderful video, Nicki. We did a limoncello tasting when visiting Sorrento and only had one shot. I would hate to imagine how you would feel drinking way to much.

Little Leni had the best advice: be ready to walk to/from your hotel to the beach. It's not like Venice where you can pull boats right up to a canalside hotel.
Niki, I just saw on another vlog that cleaning pidgeon droppings must be done wearing a mask for protection against organisms/germs that can be airborne as it's scooped up. This also is necessary for chicken coop cleaning as well.
"In order to avoid contracting histoplasmosis when cleaning your chicken coop, you should always wear a mask that filters the air you breathe." Want you to be safe. Greatly enjoying your vlogs.

I've seen tourists in Canada with skis strapped to the roof of their car, asking where to ski in JULY! It's especially funny when I see they're from 100 km away...just on the other side of the border. Bless their hearts.

Never been to Italy... (would love to one day!) but I have gotten drunk on Limoncello (with a friend who bought it back from Italy) and yes... the next day was not as much fun as the night preceding it!

I will spare you the details but after sipping away on home made limoncello one evening I had the Billy Conolly experience of head being fine but body completely stoned drunk. Ps, its funny, I nave a daughter the same age as Skye and I was going to call her Skye until daddy put a spanner in the works! Maybe Skye will once visit the Isle of Skye!

Yes, these are all based on real life events that we have all experienced. It was in no way meant to offend though.
Hey, when you have to learn 50 states, one in the middle of the pacific ocean, the, pacific, the atlantic, the Caribbean, the Gulf Coast and the Great Lakes, the rest of the world's geography takes second place. I know England is not in the Med, and Ireland is not England :) Thank you everyone for your wonderful spirit, we look forwards to visiting Positano and hiking The Path of The Gods.
