Dragonrider385. Thank You! I appreciate your viewing and commenting. That was fun and kind of so so, but on a beautiful day. Thanks again and take care.
Hey Bobcat, I own two if these rifles. With the rate of twist being 1:20, I have found that 300 grain bullets, group noticeably better than 240 grain bullets. As an added bonus, I almost always get a pass though on deer using the 300 grain bullets whereas about half the time 240 grain bullets don't provide a complete pass though. Cheers!👍
Brian. Thanks. I appreciate your viewing and commenting. I was wondering if hunters were using the .44 Mag for deer hunting. I am not a hunter myself but here in OH you can't use standard high-power rifles on deer, have to use a straight wall cartridge gun. And like you said that heaver grain .44 Mag bullet must do the job well. Thanks again and take care.
Pekolucky. Thanks Much! That CVA is a pretty nice shooting gun with a rather soft trigger. I'll have another video coming up with that gun just shooting some stuff at 100 yards I actually hit a shaving cream can which in itself is a bit hard to believe. Thanks again and take care.
Dave. Thanks. I appreciate your taking a look. That did turned out better than I expected. That gun has a really nice soft trigger which helps. Thanks again and you take care.
44 mag seems typically pretty accurate anyways. I used to have a stainless Rossi 92 in 44 mag that would get between 1 and 1.5 inch groups at 100 yards, but I was probably stopping it from doing better.
No Pro. Thanks. I appreciate your viewing and your comment. That is a nice shooting gun. Was my first-time shooting groups with the CVA so did not know what to expect was not great but Ok. Thanks, we're doing well and having some great weather also. I wish the same for you. Take care.
Mrsmel269. Thanks. It was a great easy-going weekend during which I ate way too much. Hope your Memorial Day weekend was a good one as well. Thanks again and take care.
I have a JM Marlin Model 336 in 44 Magnum, bought new in 1966. My best 100-yard group is 1"-7/16". It has a Burris 2.5x scope and the load was a Speer 225-SWC/HP. I've taken deer with it cleanly. It also shoots a SAECO 265 gr. FPGC, which I cast from Linotype, fairly well. It has the old, Micro-Groove barrel with a leisurely 1-38" twist. The longer barrels add about 400 fps to the MV, compared to shorter-barreled pistols.
Thanks for viewing and commenting. You have a really good gun and are doing some great shooting. I'm heading out today and hoping to do a bit better with the CVA with some ammo I loaded just the other day. Time will tell on that. Thanks again for sharing your experience and take care.
Arro. Thanks. I appreciate your viewing and your comment. Thanks, I agree, and I will be working on some .44 Mag reloads. I did shoot some XTP and FTX reloads into some water jugs the other day, video to follow when I get at it (but was the handgun). Thanks again Arro, I appreciate you. Take care and have a great Memorial Day weekend.
Not bad, Bobcat, pretty accurate. Used to shoot that load out of a Super Blackhawk 10 inch barrel in IHMSA. Worked well on all but the ram; had to hit it just right to get it to fall.
Hoosier. Thanks. I appreciate you taking a look. Super Blackhawk, nice gun you must have been doing really well with it being in competitions. I expect the heavier targets need to be hit just about right for them to fall, that is a bit out of my ability I would need the CVA. Thanks again and take care.
@@bobcatforever3485 Actually, Bobcat, I never did that well in competition. This was about 35 years ago, and the old eyes were beginning to go with early cataracts. But it was fun. 😊
@@hoosierplowboy5299 As long as you were having fun, I'm sure it was worth the experience. Thanks for sharing. Have a great Memorial Day weekend. Stay safe.
John. Thanks Much! I appreciate your viewing and your kind words. I wish I were good enough to take on that name. I have a long way to go and likely a bit too old to get there! But I am having fun and have met nice and kind folks like you along the way. Thanks again and take care.
Daniel. Thanks for taking a look and commenting. I use Corel VideoStudio (now Ultimate 2021 version) as my video editing software. It gives you two video tracks, the main track in the back and then a second track that you can lay on top of the main track. You can work with either track changing the size etc. You can put the tracks side by side (by doing some re-sizing), but the main track is always in the back (the bottom layer). There is also a text track and an audio track for music etc. I don't use the full features of the program but just the basics. It takes a fair amount of computer memory to run the program (they recommend 8 or more GB of RAM). Thanks again and good luck.
Daltexmex. Thanks. I appreciate your viewing and commenting. I agree that was likely not good shooting. But even a bad shot like me hits one every now and then. Thanks again and take care. ruclips.net/video/1PcOG3gVjBE/видео.html
Thanks Bobcat for the video. And some nice shooting.

Another channel tested the 44 mag 300 grain bullets and they were almost touching each other in 3 shot groups.
Good shooting Bobcat! That .44 magnum is a big, heavy round. It should do the trick especially out of a rifle barrel.

Good accuracy especially for a pistol cartridge. Good shooting Bobcat.
I was thinking the same thing.

Way to keep ‘em all on paint BC.That looks like a great little single shot you got there.
Hope all is well My Brother🤙🇺🇸

Shot IHMSA with a Dan Wesson 10 in. 23 gr. of 296...240 gr. Hornady. Never lost a ram. Shot 72 of 80 in my last state match
Ready to change your moniker to Bullseye Bobcat?? I think previous video you got 2 in bullseye 1 inside the other!

Gentleman is not a good shot. I would not trust his judgement on what the rifle is capable of.
