A couple of things on Legette that give me some hope for success… 1. There were a lot of personal problems going on in his life during those down years at SC. Both of his parents died, he was in a motorcycle accident, lots of coaching changes. 2. Canales was the passing game coordinator is Seattle when DK Metcalf had his best seasons in 2020 and 2021 before Canales went back to being the QB coach in 2022. Mike Evans had a huge year last year with Canales as his OC. I am in no way shape or form comparing XL to those guys, although he’s probably closer to DK coming out of college, but Canales definitely has a WR build that he prefers for his offense and he will have a plan for him.
@@DynastyLeagueFootball nope lol he played QB his senior year. Probably because he was the most athletic guy on the team. He ran for more yards than he passed. Wouldn’t be shocked if they ran the option at that high school.
Yes, if you watch his Hudl, he “played” QB but that was entirely just a reason to have him touch the ball every play. He was a wide receiver the other three years, so he didn’t have to learn a new position.
BTJs college yearly targets tell the story, when he was used more J Daniels had a major leap and heisman year and Nabers had the same amount of catches as his previous year but 10 more touchdowns and 3/400 more yards.
Love these really insightful breakdowns. Thanks for creating them! Just curious, any thoughts on Brian Thomas Jr over Odunze if you have a contending roster? I feel like BTJ could command a ton of targets right away whereas odunze has a capped upside this year
I understand the thought process, but I can’t pass up who I believe is just a vastly superior prospect in Odunze. I’ll trust the process and play for 2025 and maybe he outperforms expectations this year.
Good content. With that said, you said McMillian isn’t a good route runner. You might want to rewatch his tape. He is one of the most natural route runners in this draft and that is his biggest strengths. He has some concentration drops was the main issue I seen consistently with scouts
Well BTJ graded out really well in Perception Reception, so no concerns there. I have BTJ an entire tier above McConkey, I think it’s wild to even consider McConkey here.
I went back-to-back and lost in the championship with JJ and Chase on my team. Just moved JJ for GW, Dell, Swift, and a late '26 1st. Now I have two offers for Chase and I'm probably accepting one of them. Chase for ASB and a late '26 1st OR Chase and M. Lloyd for AJB, ETN, mid '25 2nd, and late '26 1st. Curious about your thoughts on all these moves. 12x9 SF PPR no TE.
Wow, these are massive deals for Chase. I’d take the AJB and Etienne one, because that’s essentially them trading ARSB for AJB and Etienne right? That’s wild
@@DynastyLeagueFootball yea, the AJB one is for sure the value side. Truly elite (tier 1 guys) go for a haul in this league. Big money league and start 9.
Here’s my top-10 in 1QB! MHJ Nabers Odunze Bowers BTJ Brooks Worthy Caleb Benson Your choice of Ladd/Coleman/Legette I’d just follow that order as you go!
To me it’s strange to use the whole argument for target competition and time needed in order to flourish in different ways for these receivers. It shouldn’t be a knock against Worthy if not a knock against the others like Odunze and Thomas.
1) Odunze and Thomas were way better prospects than Worthy 2) it should be a small knock on Worthy considering Kelce has two more years, Rice was great last year, and Hollywood could be in a similar role to Worthy this year, so when does Worthy get a chance to be the 1? Not as soon as Odunze and BTJ
I'm just not concerned about rice or brown there. If worthy is good enough, they'll get him the ball over those two and Kelce is gonna dominate a different part of the field at his age. Not to mention the chiefs were already doing what they could last year to keep Travis healthy for the playoffs.
I passed on him for worthy, but it's because I simply like worthy more. Worthy broke out as a freshman and had worse QB play. Plus I don't think Lawrence has shown enough
AD gonna be better out of the gate than ppl think. Gonna make all those back-end first rounders look stupid. I used to say, "make your own mistakes". But Panther execs need to hire a 3rd party to make them less lucrative. #saynotodrugs
Tyreek Hill was a running back to start in college, and entered the nfl as a punt return/burner. I don't see the same wide back skillset from Worthy when he was getting fed screens in Texas. I think he's less of a dynasty asset and more of a real world piece of the puzzle. A long term solution to the hardman/mvs/Hollywood role that was lacking last year to stretch the field and enable rashee and travis and isiah. Brian Thomas Jr should stand well above him given the lack of a true alpha receiver, and being closer to Higgins, Trevor's college receiver.
First of all we don’t know the full story but Nick Saban did and chose not to bench him. Secondly, Mixon has been one of the best backs in the league and managed to stay out of trouble in Cincinnati so I think the Bengals vetting process is working just fine.
TCU makes bad WRs: Reagor and QJ. LSU has made some of the best. QJ was short targets vs BTJ being an elite deep threat. He should take Calvin Ridley’s role as the deep threat which was over 1k yards in his first season back with a lot of missed opportunities
BTJ put up over 1,100 yards and 17 TDs, on a 22% target share in an offense that also had Nabers, in the SEC. He was also 98th+ percentile in 40-yard (4.33), speed score (122.2) and catch radius (10.44). QJ ran a 4.57 and barely cracked 1,000 as his team’s WR1 in the Big 12 lol they’re not the same.
Finally! Someone is aware of what’s happening with Brian Thomas. He’s going to be such an underrated pick!

49th percentile win rate vs man
19th vs zone
29th vs press
Objectively he was not a consistently good route runner in his final year at Washington

I thought this was a decent evaluation until Roman Wilson and McMillian. You couldn’t be more wrong on both of them
But… they’re both just bad?
Adonai Mitchell is better than all those guys
Either way, he has character issues and won't see much of the field unless Pittman or Downs go down.
@@bumble_rumbleshe will be the 3rd WR. If they’re smart he’ll be the X, Pittman the Flanker and downs in the slot.
You can’t throw the ball to yourself other guys qb overthrew and ubderthrew them they would have much worse stats
Fact that legette had Rattler as a QB shows he will succeed if panthers can do right by him and Young. Legette made Rattler look better than he is.
Jermaine Burton was caught on camera hitting a woman in the face. Sounds like a perfect fit for Cincy. Maybe Mixon can give him some pointers.
