Looks real nice I have some slippery blades with top and bottom holes in the handles. I make a paracord loop through them to lock them in hand when chopping
Australian gum is the toughest wood I have ever seen! I was not sure which was going to come out on top - the wood or the kukri. As I understand it, the hole up front is for a lanyard, thru the hole and around the wrist or hand. Combine that with a lanyard thru the hole at the normal position (at the back) and I believe that is to keep your hand from sliding off the handle in either direction. Probably something to use if you have to chop Australian gum wood very often.
Thanks Mike! Yes when I first got the blade I didn’t like it much. But after the gum trial I am impressed with it! Got some serious chopping power. Very few knives would I dare to chop gum with. Thanks for the info about the holes. Cheers
THANKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's a great option. Very heavy duty
Thank you. Yes some real power in that heavy blade. Almost like a small axe. Thanks for watching 🇺🇸 🇳🇿
