Hello Everyone and welcome back to Microsoft Flight Simulator! Today, I'll be walking you all through the startup process for the TBM-930 according to the actual checkist. I'll also show you how to install the mods I use when flying the TBM.

Excellent tutorial! Now I just have to figure out how to move the prop/throttle lever to the feather/fuel cut-off position :D mine is permanently on the left side.
Excellent. Thank you. This is my first step up from months of flying the 172, then G1000 172. Next step, a single engine turbine. The super sleek and sexy TBM 930 is irresistibly cool, but has a learning curve for me. Overkill, with excellent instructional videos like this one, is the key. I hope you continue this series, perhaps all the way the TBM 930 manual you mentioned in a earlier video.
That's the plan! :)
I appreciate all the hard work you are doing with your guides. It is very useful.
Been flying the TBM for over a month and NOW you finally tell me how to properly start it. Hehehe... Actually the procedure you showed is exactly what I've been doing.
I didn't realize the TBM mod had been picked up by somebody else. Doesn't look like he's done any updates on it yet. Definitely will be keeping track of it.
Thanks For Running Through All This, I Appreciate it
Not a problem! Many more to come!
Thank you very much OverKill for doing this excellent tutorial. I can't imagine how much time and effort went into not only familiarizing yourself with this complex plane but also creating a primer that we can relate to. I am grateful to you for making these detailed "how to" videos. My only suggestion would be to consider slowing down your dialog a bit. It's apparent that you are quite familiar with all of the controls but to many of us neophytes this is all new. I really don't mind long tutorials. Especially when they are as good as this. BTW, I am EMENSELY grateful you chose not to have music playing in the background. So many videos today are accompanied by a sound track (in many cases so loud as to interfere with the instructions) that is totally unnecessary and detracts from the instructional value of the tutorial.
Great video, I really love this plane. *.md files stands for mark down. A file describing a code project in software development.
I like the light mod as well
Nice work as always. Many hours in turbo pops in my past but the TBM is a whole new ball game. In short, I have a TM Warthog hotas. Can you direct me to binding the the throttles so that I can get the power into the beta range and the into reverse thrust? Also I would like to use one of the Warthog levers for cutoff, low idle and hi idle. Would like to avoid using the mouse if possible. Thanks.
I would like to install the new cockpit but I don't remember the pathway to MSFS folder , WIN10 PRO is got my lost getting around in it.
Thanks for another great video. I need your help on RS Mapper. I watched your video with you mapping the Alpha yoke, and followed along, but nothig worked. I did the battery alt, becon lights. Give me a shout. Thanks,
Hi everyone! For some reason, I haven't been able to get the mod working for me. I downloaded and installed into the Community folder the "msfs_tbm930_project-master" and "aircraft-tbm930-improvement" files, but when I get into the simulator, and choose the TBM I only get the default MSFS version. Can anybody help me? Am I doing something wrong? Please!!!
i clicked the join button i went to a infoscrean then nothing
I'm not too sure, but should you be turning oxygen on at this stage? If that switch is then making oxygen flow through the aircraft (logically it must be), well it's wasted! Wait till your at 10,000+ feet.
So I thought that too. However I found a real world checklist that said the same thing. I'm wondering if it works like an arming system and the oxygen flow begins based on pressure. Not sure.. I agree with you though
@@OverkillSimulations IN the real TBM, there is a separate panel with altitude settings for oxygen - or something like that! If you have never discovered this channel, checkout steveo1kinevo who professionally flies a TBM 850, which of course may be slightly different to the 930. In the 850, Steve turns on the oxygen at altitude.
@@birreboi yes I love his channel. I agree with you
@@OverkillSimulations Ah cool. Yeah I have been subbed to his channel for a few years. When I purchased MSFS 2020, I soon found myself wanting to fly the TBM a lot. Steveo - The Influencer!
It would be nice if I could do a flight more than 2 hours before the sim crashes...
Should talk faster...thx for this though
Then people tell me I talk too fast lol
@@OverkillSimulations I’m being fictitious 😀
