Yes, Manoj, they are entirely different words, but the spelling and pronunciation is the same, namely அகம், which is why Bhagavan often used the word அகம் (aham) with a double meaning, as can be seen in many of his verses, such as the first verse of Śrī Aruṇācala Akṣaramaṇamālai.
