Made this but I used a package of taco seasoning instead. Turned out great and it's nice to have waiting in the fridge to throw something together quick.
I am in college and I have been looking for easy recipes to replace my usual boxed mac and cheese meals and canned soups that are definitely not good for me. This recipe is perfect. I made it last night and had a real cooked meal for the first time in college. It was so good and so easy. I have leftovers for lunches/dinners later on. Thank you so much!
That's wonderful news! I'm moving this Summer too. :o) BTW, I add Chicken, a jar of mild salsa and 1 Pkg. of Lawry's taco seasoning. Just let it cook and you have another great taco filling.
Congrats to your husband on his accomplishments - and to you as well! Good luck with the move. Hope you will like the new location. Should be nice for the kiddos. Don't stress about making videos - we'll just have to use some of your other recipes if you don't have time.
I'm still an Instant Pot Beginner. Tried making chicken tacos as an experiment. The chicken came out insanely good. I took parts of your recipe using 1 fresh chicken breast (experimenting) and combined it with something else from multiple other cooking channels, Birria, at least a version of it. I used your ingredients along with Chipotle Peppers in Adobo along with a sauce that contains Guajillo, Pasilla, and Ancho Peppers. Awesome thing to make quickly after working a late shift. I didn't even taco it, the chicken by itself was amazing. Can you do a video on Beef Birria tacos with the Instant Pot?
So easy. Thanks, we can all use a recipe like this. Good luck with the move and Congratulations to your husband. You all deserve a hip, hip hurray for this major accomplishment.
What would happen if you cooked the chicken on a stand and remove the water before you shred (and mixed in the seasonings)? Seemed pretty watery when you were shredding it.
Thanks for the Dump and Go meals! They are very helpful! Your on screen personality and presentation style is so enjoyable. Best wishes on the job and the upcoming move! I am a Utah native and just moved back after some wonderful years in Upstate NY. I missed the mountains and love being back in this beautiful state.
I give you credit for packing up your house again and moving across country. I don’t know how you do it. I have moved 19 times in my life, but I was in the same state. Are you going to do another house tour? Your last house was beautiful!
Hi Kristen, This recipe looks great and I love the fact their is no salt for us sodium watchers. Will make this. Congrats to your hubby, his schooling and hard work has paid off. Sorry you have to move again, best of luck with that, very challenging to move like that. And if you should miss a video or two, you are definitely entitled. Take care and thanks for this recipe. Many hugs. Claudia
You are a life saver today Kristin! I was in the mood for chicken taco stuff and remembered that I knew Six Sister's Stuff had something on this. I wanted to use the Instant Pot method, because I like using frozen chicken breasts and love the way the pressure cooker part of the IP makes food taste so good! My tummy thanks you! Pre-ordered y'alls latest cook book & can't wait to see it! Best wishes to the family! :)
If you have a 8 Q insta pot, do you still add 1/2 cup water, or will you need to add more? If you have to add more do you have to add more ingredients as well so that the food doesn’t count out watery?
Oh Girl, Takes some time off moving is a process for sure ! Thank you so much for these hands on tutorials . I really have to see how it's done , and the process. It's just the way my Brain works 😂😂. Congrats to your family ! Thank you , you Rock 🤘
Sorry you are having to move again. I hate moving so much. But am personally glad you are moving to north Utah. I live in West Jordan Utah and think I am having difficulty due to the 5,000 ft above sea level. I will be very interested if you notice you need any changes to your cooking times. Hire movers, your husband owes you! 😉
I have always had friends do crockpot shredded chicken (for tacos or nachos or whatever) that used the frozen chicken, a jar of salsa, cream cheese, annnnndddd... I think I’m missing something. I wonder if that would work in the IP?
I'm curios I have large container of taco seasoning if you were to substitute for this receipt how much taco seasoning would you use. I really like watching your video's. I just need to try them myself, I've held off using the pressure cooker I have a Go Wise 6qt. This taco video has inspired me.
I have a question, I tried making this recipe I set the pot to 24 min. I have Go Wise Model 6qt. After it finished I seen e-4 message on cooker not using this much I wanted to make sure steam was released so I then manually moved lever no steam so I opened lid the product was a little rubbery so I wanted to cook longer, every time I would imput time to pressure cook this e-4 message would come on. I checked manual it says e-4 something about steam not releasing to unplug from 30 seconds to 1 min. This did not help so I put contents in pan on stove to simmer tender. All insight would be appreciated.
John Knapp you need to call the company who made that pot and ask a professional that question. I’m pretty sure she wouldn’t know why you are getting an error message
Looks amazing. I love your recipes. I looked through your cookbooks on Amazon and your website, but can't seem to find a cookbook devoted to your Instant Pot recipes. Is there one? I bought an Instant Pot on Black Friday and have to confess that it's still in the box. However, your recipes have been making me want to break open the box. So glad I found your channel!
I have to ask. Do you have any brothers that enjoy your cooking? I know you hubby is the health eating mogul, “honey I’ll grab something on the way to work” so has he complained?
I make this too. I use a jar of salsa, homemade taco seasoning, water, and frozen chicken thighs. Super easy and yummy!
Made this but I used a package of taco seasoning instead. Turned out great and it's nice to have waiting in the fridge to throw something together quick.

Glad you’re doing FEW INGREDIENT, EASY dump and gos. That’s what I want. Please do more of these.
Where do you get those awesome “shredders”. I’ve never seen anything like them before your videos.
That's wonderful news! I'm moving this Summer too. :o) BTW, I add Chicken, a jar of mild salsa and 1 Pkg. of Lawry's taco seasoning. Just let it cook and you have another great taco filling.
I would recommend adding some butter to the mix. Makes the chicken taste even better
Congrats to your husband!! I look forward to your dump and go recipes. You're amazing Kristen :)

Just two seasonings? No salt, taco seasoning?
Think those are the spices that largely create the same flavors for tacos
Taco seasoning packets just easier for most people
Perfect for my frozen chicken. So easy. 😊
I love your channel!

First of all, congratulations to your husband! Good luck with your move. Such a busy time of life. Thanks for the simple recipe!

Congratulations to your husband. I don’t know how you do all you. You're an amazing woman Kristen thanks for the videos.
Praying that your move goes great! The tacos look awesome!

I would add a tea spoon of salt and a tea spoon of pepper. Also some garlic and onion powder would be great!

Is that a 6 quart pot or 8 quart?
Now I know what to do with frozen chicken that's in my freezer right now. Thank you!
Tip: I take my chicken out and use a hand mixer to shredded it.
Pam Carballoca I use my stand mixer
I use my KitchenAid to shred it too!

Why is it that every time I do chicken breasts, they come out like rubber? I’ve done from frozen for 10-15 min and every time it’s way over cooked.
