Enjoying Brooke enthusiasm and openness on the show 👍. Taking both a pot and pan is a good choice. I can also support the soap. But I think a bit light on food gathering items 🍖. I would like to know how it went with the axe as many previous contestants said they did not use the axe much if they had a saw. With both able to take a fix blade knife 🔪 - one large 1/4 inch thick fixed blade knife can also make up for not having an axe.
Where's the Brooke and Dave tap out video… What made them quit? i would guess lack of calories; they seemed more interested in making things comfortable than acquiring calories..
well , for the most part , I feel you have chosen wisely , and you've got a real good shot at winning the prize , , and there's a lot to be said for being clean . . but , , how you gonna get dry ? lots of calories expended in cutting wood , , but you're my favorite to win :-)
*_I don’t watch every episode of Alone of any season. That said, I’ve never seen a contestant don a watch before. But Brooke has one on. I thought perhaps they were prohibited. I guess not._*
This is the craziest Alone list I've ever seen. No knife, paracord, multitool, sleeping bag, trapping wire, gillnet, or ferro rod??? EDIT: Ok, I guess they are allowed to bring a sleeping bag, knife, and ferro rod automatically which don't count toward their 10 items. So it's just the paracord, gillnet and trapping wire (and multitool, less so as they already have a knife) which are unusual omissions. Not bringing trapping wire makes sense as I don't think people were having success trapping on Vancouver Island previously.
You are too focused on your caloric things - those that work hard are usually the winners. The producers are also very deceptive in how they portray the contestants on the show as they leave you guessing as to who will win. But his vid is all about items one would take. So lets focus on what items you would take and for the moment forget about winners and looses they are all winners in my book.
+Spatial Interpretations "forget about winners and looses they are all winners in my book." You are aware that they are only on this show and putting themselves through this so that they can win?
All the teams have contestants that have overworked themselves. As with the brothers team the one is down due to exhaustion and health the same with the farther and son team. The difference is the team as a whole were still able to get in food. The husband and wife team failed to get in food and that is what caused the tap. The other teams worked just as hard. What I posted was they only took one food gathering item which to me is crazy if you are going on a survive as long as you can adventure. The gill net the the brothers took could of made the difference as all the team are very close to tapping. "The Wooded Beardsman" survival strategy is not to do any work but live on body fat - it is not a winning strategy. The team of brothers get up in the night when low tide to go food gathering and constantly work at getting in food, it comes down to who is the most successfully at getting in food. The winner of season three got well over 60 fish and two birds the runner up only 6 fish, and guess who worked the hardest, Fowler had like 20 lines out in the water and would go down twice a day and bait the hooks.
+Spatial Interpretations The point is to not over exert more calories then you are intaking. to which is what Dave has been warning her about. To which is what she ignored. Thus it burnt her out in the long run. It's not so much if everyone is burning themselves out. Yet how you choose to burn yourself out knowing you're lacking limited resources to consume. Had she listened to Dave she probably would of held out for another week. Carrying those stones, joining out to fish, and cutting the wood solo. Instead of trying to take turns on certain tasks that would burden the other less ended up in them going home. Yet they both were good survivalists. Yet I think Brooke did not want to be undermined and thought she was being sidelined so she didn't take Dave's helpful advice; which cost them going home.
No fire starter in a damp climate. No muli-purpose knife. Two tarps, means 1 wasted item. Idk, maybe I'm ignorant about the rules, but these guys sound like they enjoy camping, but would starve too death in the wild.
They all get certain things provided. Knife and Firestarter being two of them. If you know anything about Dave and Brooke, you would realize they know what they're doing
PSYC HO yeah you wouldn't wanna draw attention from those spec ops bears toting m4s. It's not stupid, most animals aren't too fond of human contact and they'll stay away also it's going to be easier to find your camp if you have basically a white beacon.
I like the rationale of the white tarp

I love you took soap!! When i went to outward bound they wouldnt LET me take my soap 😂

What are the rules for items?
What is already given?
Good ideas, but how'd they get their fires going? Drill? Plough? Fireroll?

What type of headlite did you used?
Very practical items, for sure!! Whenever I go camping I always seem to bring a whole lot more than I need....lol!!

She did really well for an old gal
Called to go long, but not to the end. Why short...Brooke overworks and gets too lean. They won't quit, but they will likely be pulled before winning.

You called it. Right on the money. Maybe not pulled but she over exerted herself and had to leave.

Nope.

No knife! Wow
A hunting knife is already given to everyone starting in season 4.

Oh, wait, you’re alone in the middle of a forest, never mind!

That's a Dasien comment by the way. Taught to me by the most enlightened philosophers . Took a whole life time to understand it, get it?
Strange choices
white tarp is stupid. you want to blend it, not draw the attention and curiosity of any animal that walks past
