I'm American and I love Lennox Lewis. My dad and uncles were all about Holyfield, Bowe, Tyson etc...I was the only Lewis fan. He's the greatest heavyweight of his era and in my opinion, at his peak Lewis beats every heavyweight ever, except one. Tyson Fury. Size, power, great jab, good looking, great accent, what's not to love about Lennox Lewis. I never agreed with my fellow fat Americans on this one. Must've been they was jealous cause he beat all of our best American fighter's of that era.
I think Lewis beats Fury, I mean a laser focused Lewis like this. Fury would get under Lewis's skin and that would seal Fury's fate as a motivated Lewis was the best heavyweight of all time. I think Fury is #2 of all time. Fury struggled with a crude boxer like Wilder who would have fallen in sections in 1-2 rounds against Lewis

Golota was a monster, a low blow specialist. He was no stranger to the DQ but when he was disciplined he looked good and definitely had technique but he would just sabotage himself. Golota caused a lot of problems for Bowe but outclassed by Lewis before Golota had time to get DQ'd.
Except that Botha got over confident after successfully handling Tyson in previous rounds, forgetting that Tyson was still dangerous. One lucky blow ended the fight.
Bowe 's way to fight is different . And galotta's way to fight different . Vitaly Klitschko beat shit out of Lewis. Actually the ref saves him . Vitaly wasn't fast . But so powerful. Lewis was stunt . The same way bowe he is tall enough and have much more power . Lewis is one of the greatest fighter no doubt in it . But it doesn't mean he was unstoppable .
@The Geek Is Strong I think Bowe wouldn't mind fighting Lewis after a bit controversial decision in 88 Olympic final. However, his manager Frank Newman seemed to be afraid of losing to Lewis, esp after seeing how Lewis destroyed Donovan Ruddock previously.

Why did he not fight anyone really bid like Bowe or Foreman? Because he ONLY fought people he clearly thought he could easily beat like Golota. Golota looks tough but has a chin of glass. James Toney could have beat Lewis I am certain.
I knew as far back as the Gary Mason fight that Lennox Lewis was the best heavyweight in the world. It was just a case of the rest of world catching on. The reason I knew he was the best because the world had Never seen a guy with his Size, boxing ability and power. He really is one of a kind a guy that big with that boxing abilty and the punching power, when hes on top form hes literally impossible to beat. HOW DO YOU BEAT A GIUY LIKE THAT? No one ever did when like I said was fighting 4 real. He proved in the Amateurs in the Olympics that he was the worlds number one and after this everyone was just WOW.
Lennox was a conservative fighter most of the time. But there were times he could erupt like a volcano and just blow someone out of there like they were nothing. He must have had a hot date after this fight and said I ain't even fooling around with this dude, I've always heard he was disgusted with Golota over the low blows against Bowe, despite the fact he never really liked Riddick. It showed. He went after Golota like Golota insulted his mother.
Not sure how Lewis isn't considered one of the all-time greats! He KO'ed the only guys who ever beat him in rematches as well. When he was focused, he was almost unbeatable.
When he was focused, he also was able to use his opponent punch as a boomerang by precise reflex avoding move that caused his opponent went down and counted by the referee to stop the fight. The fight I mean is against Shannon Briggs. I have never seen such a moment. That fight is my favorive one of Lewis, really entertaining.

he took all his frustrations of Bowe ducking him out in this fight, everyone knew Bowe struggled with Golota so Lennox showed us what would have happened
it doesn't seem like many people remember here that Golota took medicines that put him out of the shape affecting even his movements (unnatural behavior was noticed by his team before the fight). After the fight he fainted in the cloakroom. It looks like Lennox has an easier task than he would normally have.
This version of Lewis would destroy Fury. Fury does not carry a knock out threat and has been put down by small guys. The standard of Heavyweights in the 90s was much higher than it is now.
Can you imagine what Riddick Bowe thought when he watched this fight? Watching the same guy who destroyed him get blown out of the ring in 90 seconds by Lewis had to have destroyed his soul. May have been the reason he never made a serious comeback.

*Lennox Lewis was injected with talent* .
lennox basically said I aint gonna wait for you to punch me in the nuts lol
That was his best performance ever.
Lewis looked innocent but dangerous
100%
He looked like a serial killer.
Innocent? Nah, he looked relaxed. He's one of the most relaxed boxers I've ever seen. In this fight he looked as calm as someone who's getting a haircut or grabbing a cup of coffee. A very smooth and technically excellent fighter with prodigious power to boot. One of the all-time greats for sure.
True dat, Lennox believe in the saying, speak softly, but carry a big stick, he knew he had the Right Stuff.
LL => Most underrated boxer ever ! Just my 2 Cents....
@Jedi Knight
Oh dear me lol
"..Lewis was better than anyone ever..."
baaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaa
Lewis only had 2 losses and he avenged them both . Dude was pure class
He's not underrated at all. Top 5 all time in most lists.
Clearly you’re not a sweet science fan Lennox is highly rated 🤦🏻♂️😂
@Jedi Knight right this is the first I've ever heard him being underrated lol.
"I'm not a die-hard lewis fan,but he fought everybody they put in front of him". I lost a lot of money betting against him.
he was retired by Vitaliy KLIT
@@wazupdowgs yes messed up Klitchko's face

Crush. Kill. DESTROY!
That was in Lennox mind before, during & after. That noise when Golota got dropped 1st time. That was in his head! Static. .
Two classes of boxer. Clearly.
Lewis without a doubt one of the greatest…
10:52 "Lennox Lewis looks like he's not only beating down Golota, he's beating down everybody who ever doubted him in the ring!"
Golota was injected with lidocaine, a powerful painkiller, before the bout in an attempt to stave off knee pain. Golota had a seizure in the locker room about 15 minutes after the bout ended, during which he stopped breathing and was without a pulse for about 30 seconds. After being revived by cardiopulmonary resuscitation and rushed to the hospital, Golota's condition was upgraded to stable and he eventually made a full recovery. Golota was fined $5,000 for allowing the lidocaine injection. Golota filed a $21 million lawsuit against the doctor who administered the shot. The case was settled out of court for around $1 million
Damn... thanks! Glad Golata got a check
That some rich doc that could cover that
Lewis is so smart for this. Finding something in his game and absolutely brutal in the biggest fight of his career.
I salute Golota for fighting such a lovely, clean fight, even though the stakes were high! A true gentleman.
Lewis, one of the most elegant fighters of all the times.
My pops is the cop escorting Lennox Louis out there pretty dope 💪🏾
Co to mialo byc ?
It was shocking to see how Lenox stayed absolutely calm and in only this short show of Lenox's skills he didn't have time to sweat.
Golota was a monster, a low blow specialist. He was no stranger to the DQ but when he was disciplined he looked good and definitely had technique but he would just sabotage himself. Golota caused a lot of problems for Bowe but outclassed by Lewis before Golota had time to get DQ'd.
A monster of mediocrity. A big guy who could only KO nobodies.
Even a warrior like Evander Holyfield was shocked at Lennox Lewis`s physical strength.
I'm not.
Even a confirmed steroid user like evader Holyfield was shocked that Lennox was stronger.
@@SKa-tt9nm Holyfield beat Lewis no question in my mind.
Lewis did to Golota,Tucker, Botha and Ruddock what Tyson couldn't do.
Except that Botha got over confident after successfully handling Tyson in previous rounds, forgetting that Tyson was still dangerous. One lucky blow ended the fight.
can see why bowe didnt want to fight lennox golota was killing bowe
@@pushkaranprasanth4687 lewis was unprepared, overweight and pushing 40 lmao a prime lewis takes klitschko out
@@yalexander9432 ahhh prime Lewis right??? So would you agree that the prime Mike would take Lewis easily out??
@@pushkaranprasanth4687 no, Lewis's general safety style is all wrong for tyson. It would be a tough fight. I agree with your statement that styles make fights but klitschko would get put down by prime lewis.
Definitely one of the greatest of all time any era
LL was a great fighter. He had the height and a long reach. His jabs were quick and would throw off his opponents. He had a great sneaky left and would hit like a brick 🧱 with his right to finish. Definitely on the top 10 of all time. LL can also take a hit ..
Why did he not fight anyone really bid like Bowe or Foreman? Because he ONLY fought people he clearly thought he could easily beat like Golota. Golota looks tough but has a chin of glass. James Toney could have beat Lewis I am certain.
@@htechdancethe same Golota that was easily beating Bowe in both their fights until he was disqualified for low blows?
Excellent video my dearest friend
Fully watched and stay blessed
Lot of people forget that Golota was actually the favorite coming into this fight.
This is why Lennox Lewis my uncle is my inspiration and favourite boxer
When Lewis knocked Golota on his A$$ the look on Golotas face was PRICELESS!!!!

I could have destroyed Tyson at that time in his career.
Andrzej nie miał niestety psychiki wojownika a szkoda, bo fizycznie spokojnie miał predyspozycję na mistrza świata.
Not sure how Lewis isn't considered one of the all-time greats! He KO'ed the only guys who ever beat him in rematches as well. When he was focused, he was almost unbeatable.
He is considered an all time great, just not to the Americans.
Gołota myślał, że on będzie z nim rozmawiał, a on go zaczął bić.

If he could manage to knock lewis out ,no one should mention that he had a problem with his leg ,these are false claims after a loss .
I was mindfucked when this fight happened and Golota was the favourite.
Lennox is a true boxer I have one of his autographed my first cousin was the IBF middle weight champion of the world
Szkoda Andrzeja, miał wszystko prócz psychiki. Jemu trzeba było 1-2 rund w tej walce, żeby złapać rytm i zgubić strach. Lewis o tym wiedział i nie miał zamiaru czekać, zrobił swoje.

Lennox, if not the best he must be one of the best fighters of all time in heavey weight category.
he took all his frustrations of Bowe ducking him out in this fight, everyone knew Bowe struggled with Golota so Lennox showed us what would have happened
Lewis is recognised a a better fighter after he was retired than he was during his career. Imagine Lewis in his prime fighting today
Pỏor Golota never got started. No punches landed.
Lewis was the best in the 90s
it doesn't seem like many people remember here that Golota took medicines that put him out of the shape affecting even his movements (unnatural behavior was noticed by his team before the fight). After the fight he fainted in the cloakroom. It looks like Lennox has an easier task than he would normally have.
Golota was a cowardly dirty bum. A can.
Pamiętam ta walkę z teleekspresu :D
Lennox Lewis is a cool headed clever boxer of all times 👍
Lennox always a gentleman, quietly spoken, but what a puncher, one of boxing's good guys, destroyed Golata, who was a big strong unit, fabulous finish
The amount of disrespect from the American commentators is simply disgraceful.
Lewis at his best ...one of the all time greats ..
Wow. What a fight it would be between Lewis and fury... two of my all time best heavy weights
Lewis in a different league to fury and all the current top heavies for that matter👍
@@stuartrhodes7352 Lewis was a great champion....but so is fury....I rate them both equally..
This version of Lewis would destroy Fury. Fury does not carry a knock out threat and has been put down by small guys. The standard of Heavyweights in the 90s was much higher than it is now.
@@MrBmd123 .... that's a very good point ..I think I would put my money on Lewis.
You don't get to be great with one defense of title,
Prime Lewis was pretty much untouchable.
So he was out of prime against Rahman?
Can you imagine what Riddick Bowe thought when he watched this fight? Watching the same guy who destroyed him get blown out of the ring in 90 seconds by Lewis had to have destroyed his soul. May have been the reason he never made a serious comeback.
After second fight with gołota he has brain damage that's why he never come back ofc he did for money but he wasn't same anymore.
Najlepszą walkę Lewisowi dał Vitali Klitschko (zakończył jego karierę), zaraz po nim Evander Holyfield- znalazł techniczny sposób na zremisowanie z Lewisem. Zwycięstwa McCalla i Rahmana były trochę przypadkowe, w rewanżu pokazał im twardo kto rządzi w wadze ciężkiej.
