2:27 does this census of Srinagar city also cover main town budgam ,south ganderbal and south side baramulla and Northern pulwama including pampore also . I don't think it will have 1.7millon population on it's own.
But due to govt negligence srinagar is dying slowly Vengeance of central governments and incapability of local mla and mps has turned srinagar into heap of garbage n city of dust unlike jammu which was nothing but gloomy damp
Kashmiri architecture has nothing to do with hindu architecture, i dont get why this self claimed historian has soo much love for this narrative! Kashmiri architecture in a nutshell is an evolved mix of greek , buddist, persians, tibet & turkic(central asian) architecture. There isnt even an ounce of hindu architecture as he always try to deliberately claims !! Maybe he is afraid of loosing his job but thats an another thing !! Seriously what kashmir needs the most is bold , truthful and well knowledgeable people , not like him !!
bro you stole my words, i was like wth is even hindu architecture, kashmir got no relation with sindh and hinduism then from where the hell does this "hindu" archietcture came into subject, hindu is a word used in medievel time for the people of sindh and after 1816 when britishers invented hinduism it started to got used for a pagan religion, what does kashmir has to do with that and wth is even hindu architecture, even the temples in india have south east asian buddhist architecture

Good piece of work, but limited introduction of downtown and needs more to add.

Real Srinagar
khaas here does not mean ‘special’ but ‘main’
Shahr e khas does not mean *a special part of the city*. It means *city proper* or *the main city*.
Im from Downtown
Where
Bas wa kya parwaaei che
There was no architecture worth mentioning of Hindu ' s
there is only bhuddist and islamic architecture in kashmir, the land has nothing to do with hinduism
Heavy Mistake; Jamia Masjid was build under Maharaja pratab singh... too
