This entire episode was just a tragedy. One by one, Mac loses everyone he loves. It's like Hamlet...everyone dies except for the one person. Though unlike Hamlet, the protagonist lives.
I just imagine all the Men-at-arms, Mage Guild members and Knights of the Nine trying not to make eye contact and sweating while Mac walks around choosing who to take to war next.
If you want to place the staffs somewhere to have the goblins attack (like the Imperial City) you cannot kill that respective goblin war chief or shaman while stealing the staff. Any goblin tribe that loses its war chief or shaman can no longer dispatch war parties. To avoid this, most staffs are not located with the shamans and are lying on the floor in their cave. If the shaman does have the staff, she will usually put it down at some point
6:17 yeah the shamans are also clan mothers, I think they have a thing kind of like the Orcs where only the chieftain can produce goblings with her. Which is a little unfortunate for goblin Jim
Feddy von Wigglestein how can you assume someone’s age through a few words written on RUclips? Seriously. What thought process made you think, oh he’s making a valid comment to this joke so I should call him a 9 year old.
On a random note, don't forget that those portals are effectively random inside, bar a few. I.E, I think you've actually already done this same randomized dungeon previously. I could be wrong, but I'm fairly certain of it. The only reason to ever do these after X amount, is for those orb things or quests that require them. Otherwise, they're pretty useless, since loot (as far as I'm aware) is based solely on your character's level + the loot container, meaning that you'll find roughly the same type of loot everywhere. On another aside, some of the dungeons (caves, fortresses, etc) have the exact same interior layout, despite claims that they're 'handcrafted'. So, besides the color schemes resulting in them 'feeling' the same, some of the dungeons are, quite literally, identical. So, if you ever get the feeling that a dungeon might be the same, it could be because it literally is.
Mac defeating a Xivali and a Daedroth with nothing but his bare hands is pretty impressive. Like, I don't think they're on medium difficulty, but still, that's rad.
Love you guys. You always reference comments from previous episodes. I usually read a fair way down into the comments section and don't see the ones you talk about showing you actually go through all of them.
Dont wipe out the goblins, the point is to steal their staff and make them attack places, they cant do that if you wipe them out, or kill the wrong ones. Also you have to steal their totem staff, not just any staff the shaman has.
I always avoided the skeleton key because security would be a main skill and i wanted to build my skill. I think its nice u can still build ur skill after obtaining it. It's like s lockpick that never breaks. Maybe they should've changed the name of the item.
That was the worst thing about the Oblivion Gates to me. I guess they're supposed to be more difficult than any regular cave, but when you get to a really high level they start just overflowing the place with enemies instead of making it more engaging somehow. I couldn't tell them what that would be, but I'm not a game developer. They just end up being way more tedious than fun in the end. And yes, I do in fact think they're pretty fun at first.
It's because Oblivion's leveling system is broken, it goes way beyond the oblivion gates and affects the quality of the entire game. At higher levels instead feeling stronger and rewarded for leveling up, the entire game gets too hard. Efficient leveling isn't possible with the premade in-game classes. That's why i use the natural leveling mod
@@David-px6yu Yeah, I've been looking at that mod. It's a shame because it's one of my favourite games in the world. I should probably put in the effort to mod it more to fix its flaws, haha.
You guys should do the quest "Go Fish" - you can get a ring that makes you move slightly faster and breathe under water just by killing a few slaughterfish
What an awesome episode. Even a random Oblivion Gate brought such enjoyment thanks to this game's clunkiness and thanks to you guys, of course. Keep up the amazing entertainment 👌.
Today a new oblivion branded roller coaster was born: Ascension's Call! "For Akatosh and the Nine, to Oblivion we go!" As Mac says when he climbs up the ramp. 23:26 for Reference.
You guys should get the Escutcheon of Chorrol if you haven't already, it'd make fights much better. It comes from the Sins of the Father quest, but I don't remember if you've done it already.
I believe the reason they had the skeleton key not automatically open it, is because you gain experience with both succeeded and failed attempts towards your security skill. If they automatically opened, they'd either give it no experience (which I would've preferred, since as it is creates free levelling), or give only the experience for the successful attempt (which I still think would've been better). While I don't agree that the choice they made was the best; I understand why they did it.
I never found the ring of war before seems cool I'll have to do a play though to see if I can get it, I'm pretty sure the enchanted items you find are randomly generated except for quest specific ones. You guys should go to the mages college in the imperial city and make a few custom spells like for emitting light so when you are in caves and one for healing followers. Also the helm of the deep delver is good for exploring caves and ruins . I forgot which city black Smith sells it though you guys will probably have to look it up. Great episode by the way I personally never initiated the goblin war, I've been playing Oblivion since it came put and I never knew you could do anything like that it sounds super cool and hilarious lol. Oh and you can also enchant your armor and jewelry with the sheild enchantment at the mages college, the shield enchantment gives you points in your base defence rating so in essence you could make an outfit of regular clothing like light or heavy armor it's really cool I use the enchantment alot for my mage and thief characters
Ok, how about we make this a thing? If a follower suddenly disappears during a dungeon, but is not dead, how about we call this: Doing a Maglir. Hey, who is with me on that?
i bet the skeleton key is coded as a regular lockpick with a billion health or something like that, i've always thought it was probably laziness and the existing mechanics that forced the way it works.

Mac's final act before saving Tamriel is to genocide a burgeoning sentient peoples lmao.

Guys, get a spell that restores Fatigue, cast that when you don't need to heal minor wounds and you will be doing so much more damage in melee.

The angry look of the knight while you shoot healing spells at him, after he killed the other knight, was too much

Watching these every week is my favorite Tuesday night tradition.
Infinity war is the most ambitious crossov...
28:42 when you introduce the spirit of Christmas to the daedra.
My favorite Elder scrolls game so far. Your let's play has been great I've watched all the episodes.

And threw the atronach's remains in the lake, forever lost.
Ya, like it was planned.
