    Awesome idea! I'm at this stage with my 60'. Gonna use 2 pallets stacked up, with furniture dollies on all 4 corners. Good idea putting it on the back window for repairs! Thanks for showing this method!

    So appreciative of the videos you're making, Paul. Unbelievably helpful, as I'm going through the same process with my '70 C10. The cab lift and cart are game changers for a solo project!

    I used Raptor Liner on my 67. That stuff looks good and is easy. I started my truck before you looks like your about to pass me up. enjoying the build

    These are great videos. Shows one guy's will and determination to get things done by himself. I just bought the 2 ton lift at Harbor Freight and I am in the middle of building the cab hoist attachment you showed. I just wish I could get away with wire wheeling the bottom of my cab in the garage without my wife killing me in my sleep. : ) Great work!

    Short of having a full rotisserie, this is great idea. Thank you Paul as my wheels are turning in my brain. I am a thinking using the pinch weld flanges with the windows out, attaching to them with a tie to front upper, create a lift with hinges to lift onto a foam padded back, then lower back. I thank you so much as i cannot afford to buy or purchase a new rotisserie when I can build it it out of wood and very stout. This allows not only finishing the bottom but also preparing the inside for painting. I find reactions very when you tell friends and other people when you tell them you painted and clear coated the entire inside of the cab?
    Thanks again for you effort and work you put into this. There were times where you look like you were going 60 MPH! Ed402 of the North!

    You mentioned take the cab outside perhaps to pressure wash at some point. My question is the height of the cart you modified with wheels (Plus pad) but do you remember the height of the cab on it back?
    It is too bad a fist glance, the cart won’t let the engine hoist go completely under it. Sand bags on hoist and extend the arm with the sling attached could made it easier. Either way, something’s just plain suck doing a job by your self. My 67 is a keeper and my last vehicle. Not show quality but doing this type of cleaning, perhap epoxy sealer, seam sealer with adaptor liner will still add another 40 - 50 years to life. I have watch most but 106 degrees F outside today includes “Feels like” temp (Hotter than hell + 3), so catching up on my fav’s.
    MRI, Dr. scheduled L2-L1 epidural (Which made low back quit burning after bending 10 mins) but worked twice before. Seems strange to be able to stand straight up at 6’3” and not hurt doing it. Tall can be good, but not now. If you remember the firewall to back close I ok. Won’t hold ya to it! Gotta go back to watch motor mount build. ASE Master - Retired

    Interested to see what you think of the Raptor liner. I'm planning the same for the underside of my truck and wondered if the 4L kit would be enough.

    Did you have any body work required on the back of the cab as a result of tipping it? I see you cushioned it at the hinge point, but that is my biggest concern…making a crease or similar.

    Hi Paul, My 72 has a really good paint job but I want to do the underneath like this, can you tell me if there was any damage to the back of the cab from laying it down like this? and dents? Keep up the great work

    • @paulkc10
      @paulkc10  4 года назад +1

      I did it practically by myself so there’s a couple little spots but if you have a couple extra set of hands you can easily do it with no damage at all
