- Repairing the rusted out floor boards of my 1970 Chevy C10. We also tackle the cab corner and rear pillar (all on the drivers side).

That was a good idea tack welding the braces inside the cab. When I cut out my inner & outer rocker, and rear pillar the cab corner went back 1/4 inch. I had to pry on it against the box to weld it back in place.

Watched quite a few rust repairs yours is by far the most complete job. Removing all rust even nearby rust. full marks a good solid long lasting repair. The best I've seen.

Yea first project doing anything like this.
You got it down. Fit, trim, fit, trim, fit etc. it’s easy to take a little more off but it’s really hard to put a little more back on.

Hi Paul, Thank you for putting together this cab panel replacement collection. Super helpful! A few questions: did you have to repair the cab front and rear supports? if so, When did you do that? did you do that after the floor replacement pieces? did you use the slide on supports or the OE style? Also, What setting did you have your welder at? wire speed and volts? Im using 0.035 size wire. Thanks man!
Yea all can supports were replaced after. Oem style
Got a question, you repaired the floor pan first, any special reason as I've heard some say the inner rocker should be repaired/replaced first so as to establish an outer frame, just wondering as I'm facing such a repair.

Are you using a flux core welder?
Do you by chance know what the measurement is from the bottom of the A-pillar to the bottom of the first hinges bolt hole?

Hey the panel that youre fitting up at 4:51, what is that called? I've been searching for one for about an hour online and can't find it. Working on inner and outer rockers, got them out on the passengers side and saw the present the previous owner left me. It was literally held together with bondo. Going to need to do cab corners now as well as the piece im asking you about. Thanks in advance Haha! Love your videos man! Haha

@@paulkc10 thanks man! How tall was the cab corner patch you got? Mine has damage about 16" up from the bottom. Not sure if the patch panel will be tall enough.
