- (1-10-20) This is one of the newer installs on the WMATA system. This is currently the end of the Silver line, but that is soon to change. This station has two elevators with Monitor fixtures. For a transit elevator, these have pretty cool motors.

Now that is cool! Those motors are epic, but that voice, not so much. Did u notice the indicator in the first car you rode was an incandescent (At least I think it was) and the second one was an LED? Still awesome nonetheless!
Wiehle-Reston is the last stop until 2020 or later, because the extended stations are follow:
Reston town center
Herndon
Innovation center
Dulles Washington airport
Loundon county gateway
Ashburn

That's going to be great when this station is no longer going to be the last stop and when the actual last stop becomes Washington-Dulles Airport. Washington-Dulles is a much bigger airport then Washington Regan so having the silver line go to Dulles Airport is going to be a huge win for people and a big win for WMATA.
Yeah it was annoying for Elyse and I to get out to the air and space museum out there. Had to take the bus after getting off here.
MAJOR bonus points for the backlit custom floor indicators (not digital)! And those COPs make me think of Homer Simpson at his nuclear reactor control panel... so... ❤ 🍩 💤

These have good motors but who installed these? My school has these buttons too and it's an OTIS Hydraulic

Yeah I can't figure out who it is either... There's CJA cartop stations, GAL door equipment, monitor buttons....
