- Exploring the world of Toyota GR Yaris front suspension geometry, exploited by our new friends at @wiborg_engineering we will look into how our front Macpherson strut system works and its shortcomings as stock in this particular application. Followed by an analysis of Wiborg Engineering's front LCA Control Arms motorsport kit, result of countless hours of engineering development, that fixes the stock issues with a bright and proven solution that I can't wait to test myself!
Camber gain, roll center, kingpin inclination, track width, tramlining, caster and toe are all positively affected, especially on lowered cars, both with springs and coilovers.

This is a point when the effort to demonstrate brilliant engineering becomes entertaining. Let's get the algorithm into the game.
Wiborg didn’t share full details even with me for private knowledge, but the explanation was still very complete and based on real work that I can relate to thru my experience
Looking forward for the installation video and the test one even more! I would love to see some kind of comparison, maybe time difference with stock vs this!
Yes, I have that in mind, but it will take about a week to get it all together! Thankyou for supporting
Wow, next level info, answered a lot of my questions I had after the last suspension one.
Thankyou mate!
Have had the full wiborg-engineering kit for 25000km now, with majority aggressive street/canyon driving. Best bang for buck kit for the GR Yaris.
Thankyou for that, great to hear your experience!! Are you running also the MCA coilovers (as you state full kit)? Cheers
@@AJClubsport yes full kit with MCA
Cool!
@AdrianoJamesPiras softer spring rates from Wiborg Engineering were calculated, approximately 40% softer than the track rates that they usually come with. But as you say, trade secrets 🙊
@@khamid1 Hi, can you give me more information about MCA for track use only?
Wow ! So much great info 👍🇦🇺
Thankyou Laurie!
This is pure gold, thank you so much!! Keep it coming!!
Will do, there already is other content for channel members
Again nice Video and a comment to Support
Thankyou Peter! Also memberships available from today, I will introduce them with a video soon, its all new to me
Another great video Adriano, quality part as well, looking forward
to the installation video, again great info on the stock set up.👍
As I understand OE manufacturers prefer the the standard set up to go into understeer when pushed as it's
" SAFER " not sure if this is true as I've never understood that ?
Good to see the channel groing, will you be doing some branding stickers at some point as in AJ Clubsport ? to go inside rear hatch window .
Regards Russ...
Thankyou Russ!
Infact, as you say OEM’s tend to privilege understeer as it is the easiest and most intuitive behaviour to manage…
Yes, stickers are a great idea, will get on it!
I know about this camber lose and for now I'm using high camber front, as under braking camber lowers and allows for better front traction. Negative toe than gives rotation from early acceleration middle corner. But proper arms could allow to make different setup. Anyway great to look at new gr yaris parts to benefit
Cheers mate! Memberships open from today, please consider joining!
Hi, what is your camber and caster? the size of your tyres, semi slick Thanks
Hello Sebastien,
I use standard size 225/40R18 on Michelin Sport CUP2.
Angles around -2 front and a bit less behind
Exciting product, let us know how you get on. Would be interested to see if these are still drivable for mainly road use.. UK roads are very poor to say the least.
I will Adam, as from my personal experience, can already say they will be fine on the road!
Thank you very much for the video! Two questions:
Do you recommend other companies lower control arm?
The second question is, do you think the anti-lift kit can solve this problem instead of replacing the lower control arm?
Hello mate, I actually had the caster/antilift kit before these Wiborg arms, and they were an improvement but brought too much wheel jacking, that decreased grip significantly in low grip conditions.
The Wiborg arms are the only solution out there that corrects all the front geometry, plus you don’t become crazy with settings, as they are fixed. For example, if you purchase Verkline, you will have to also purchase the wheel hub to get the same geometry.
Email Wiborg saying you are a subscriber, and you will get 10% off!
@@AJClubsport thank you for the answer! what do you mean by wheel jacking?
No problem mate! By wheel jacking I intend the geometry lifting the exterior side of chassis, opposite to where you turn. This is used on track-to a certain extent- but is harmful it too much, and especially in low grip conditions
So basically it will work with stock suspension and aftermarket too ?
Exactly mate, as you say
How similar or different are these from the Verkline options- including their 1st package at circa 4K? And how much are these parts? Thanks for the informative videos.
Thankyou for replying Andrew! Verkline (that makes beautiful products, I use and support them) is very different in this particular case, because it requires you to change both LCA arms and wheel HUB. With this kit you spend less than half and have motorsport proven geometry out of the box, no mistakes or extra adjustment headaches, as these are fixed to desired, studied angles!
@@AJClubsport grazie mille 👌👍
@danielrauter9828 grazie a Te!
