@@bigkong90 a real RHD Silvia will never cost less than 13K and if you are talking about the 240sx that already has an SR20DET swap you are looking at a minimum of 7-8K and they will have a lot of cracks on the dash and problems from previous owners
240sx for $2-3k?!?! last time i checked they are all $10k+
$2-3 would probably mean that it's not in the best shape. If you see $10k+, you're seeing bone stock 240SXs
I just bought my 89 240sx coupe for 5k in great condition and completely stock with no rust at all :) you just have to be patient and keep your eye on the market

Now I'm driving this 2000 Mustang GT in my pfp. Good ol' 4.6L V8 with a 5 speed. Wouldn't have it any other way, but I still miss that Camry lol
You can literally get stock 240sx for 500$ at a wrecking yard and build it up from there. Super cheap.

My son is an Amazonian (code writer, etc.) living in Seattle with a fondness for JDM cars. Amongst his collection is a car that gave me the scariest ride I've ever had (he also races and has trained/practiced to a point of proficiency); a 1989 240 with an LS/Tremec drop. GEEEEEEZ, a word historically as gentle as "drifting" sure changed #1 definitions after that.....

Me personally I think you missed the fox body mustang, Infiniti G35 coupe, Toyota Soarer/Lexus SC300/Lexus SC400/Lexus SC430, sometimes Subaru BRZ/Scion FRS/Toyota GT86, Mazda RX8, Pontiac Solstice GXP, and I guess there's more.

Find yourself a cheap single cab Chevy S10 with the 4.3 and turbo it. Also if you find one cheap enough you could LS swap it. Lower it down on some wheels and tires. You can gut the interior and throw some racing seats in to save weight. They also have pre-made cages for them fairly cheap. Boom you got yourself a drift truck

The only vehicle I drifted, quite frequently, in was my Wife’s Dodge Magnum. It was only the 250hp/250lbft. 3.5 Litre RWD,, but on country roads (during the Winter) going to the cottage... Yippee! U can get a rebuilt genisis bk2 for 7.5-8.5k and u can find a decent built bk1 for 4-6k yw get one b4 they start over taxing there beautiful cars and u got 2 different routes to choose u can choose the 2.0t or the 3.8 if u want an inline 6 instead of the smaller inline 4 with a turbo

i would reccomend the german imported 320i/323i with 170 hp, they are awesome for drifting and way cheaper than a 330, you can easily get them for 2000usd

I'm sure ppl have fun drifting Infiniti G35's. Bit more pricey, but pretty much ready to roll like the 350. Same engine I think.

I live in Europe. Bmw e36, e46 are the cheapest options, stock car purchase and drift setup together cost about 3k-5k. Any “drift nissan”, especially the legendary ones, is hard to find.
But repairs cost much more
@@colin1567 repairs on e36 & e46 325i models are pretty cheap here, because we have a lot of those cars and a lot of spare parts. Even if you wreck it, you can fix it for reasonable price. Nissans, especially silvias, in OK condition are really hard to find and if you manage to find one, it has a high price point.
My first car was a miata that I got for 1.5k and came boosted 😂👌🏾 definetly cheapest way to start drifting

If you can afford it! Just make sure that person did good work building that car or you're in for a rough time.

My dude left out the 94/95 mustang gt … can be picked up for under 5k all day all came with a factory lsd which if it blows up you can get a mini spool for like $80 and it has a 5.0 which is known to make very reliable power and tons of torque

If you are from Europe you can get any lada sedan for 500€ weld the diff slap an engine from bmw and go for fun (lada 2101 has almost same wheelbase as ae86 and similar weight)

The Kompressor series of Mercedes cars with the W203 chassis, those are like 5 grand all day over here. and you have semi decent power if you get the 2.3L.
300z are rear wheel and u can surprisingly find them cheap
In Europe you can find The bmw 330ci for 3-4k for a clean model with like 100k-170k km on them

A bk2 genesis is a good place to start too mine came bone stock with à lsd diff à 6 speed manual transmission and over 345hp and 4 piston brembo brakes on all 4 19 inches wheels and weight like 3400lbs but can be turned To 2600lbs with weight réduction best part is that you can get it in inline 2.0t or 3.8 v6 n/a for as low as 8000.00$ canadian dollars soo whay less in us with only like 122 000km on it
