I am a Transformers fan, and it's surprising to see the franchise finally take a W in a long time, especially after Rise of the Beasts' flop (great movie imo).
Ikr, there is a newer video on you tube of ravage and Optimus in battle. “Ravage, eject”. Chills and so well done for G1 fans. Google “ravage no Optimus” and it should come up.
Reading the panels, I actually hear the voice from the shows, and not having Starscream say he wants to used his plasma cannon on Skywarp help monumentally. If this was any of the "Popular" writers, Optimus would have just let Starscream go after killing Bumblebee because they thing "Well, he just lets the villains go." Not understanding that Optimus is pacifist by nature, but would never let such cruelty slide.
Yeah The core to Optimus Prime as a character is honor, he’s a skilled warrior and will wreck shop against The Decepticons and Unicron, but he also has compassion and mercy for those who deserve it and Starscream did not, Prime will probably snuff out Starscream’s spark permanently!
I haven't bought a western comic in years but I am tempted by this as I'm a big Transformers fan and they were the first comics I ever collected as a kid that got me into comics. It would be nice to have a decent Transformers comic again after the romcom IDW became which I had to give up in 2015.
It was awesome to read. "You´d shoot a defenseless being while it´s laying? I thought you were a warrior, Starscream!" Right in the Bayverse´s Psycho Prime´s brutality. Great start all around.
I can tell Wes never watched the OG Transformers cartoons. I remember when the cartoons and comic book were out. They came out at the time when middle school was still called junior high.
Anybody read DWJ's story in the back of this book about losing part of his Transformers figure on the bus? Dude sincerely likes the Transformers, and it shows in this book
I've read Daniel since beta ray bill (started reading his other work) , him and Jeremy Adams are possibly the most underrated talents in the industry and I'd argue Daniel more than Jeremy because he's an artist and a writer. Yeah They made Starscream into a serious threat and Optimus Prime proves why he’s a favorite character in all of fiction, him kicking Starscream is perfect and I hear Peter Cullen’s voice in my head whenever he speaks! Big Transformers fan here. Saw 1986 movie in theaters. About halfway through this video I went and read the issue online(yeah I know). It was so good I ordered four copies from a retailer, two each of the two first print covers. I'm not going to do that shit for every issue, but I will certainly try and stay with the series for a while😂. Starscream has always been a sniveling little shit who acts hard when big dog Megatron is weakened, presumed dead or otherwise incapacitated. New and improved (and, coincidentally, insufferable) Ya Boi Zack, found this issue to be boring and he was pretty sure the writer was bored making it. Richard dragged himself out of his medically induced delusion of grandeur long enough to review a comic book for the first time in 4 years, only to shit on the one book people seem to be largely enthusiastic about. I really don’t know what happened to him (maybe the stress of an entire industry of psychopaths spending 6 years trying to destroy him wore him down. I suppose that’s understandable, but it’s still sad to see the hollowed out husk of a man). I’d consider considering his opinion if he hadn’t spent a month singing the praises of Picard Season 3. He seemed to be under the impression that a generation of nerds were so enthralled by doomcock, that they couldn’t possibly think the show was objectively awful. We’re all just doing the bidding of a RUclipsr in a 3D printed Destro mask, evidently. I actually have no problem admitting when Hollywood does something good. I don’t just go around popping black pill suppositories. So, I actually sat through ALL of Season 3 of Picard. And you know what? It still wasn’t good. It was basically slightly less awful than Nemesis. If it were a next gen movie, it would be the 4th best. …out of 5 movies. So, I’m going to take Richard’s criticism of this comic with a grain of salt.
Optimus Prime suplexing Starscream is a gift that I didn't know I needed until now...

LOL @ Thinking cynical.
I think it’s cool he let bumblebee get shot in the face. Personally I think the movies got carried away with character. Him being a full fledged warrior was a bit much
I'm glad that the decepticons were acting like decepticons and autobots as autobots. Now let's hope they stay that way and not get into identity politics and they all turn out to be alphabets like I Don't Want handling of dismantling the transformers and not TRANS formers!
