I listen at low volume levels (70-75db) in the late evening. Will these sound full at these levels or do they need to be turned up to come alive ? Also, will these be at AXPONA ?
They look awesome! I have been really liking my pair of DW for about 8 months, trying to decide if I want to do a Zu upgrade. Although the Soul might be a bigger step in $ than I am ready to make.
My Electric Blue DWs just arrived, my cables came on Monday...NOW I gotta build out the main system...Decisions Decisions...This is a badd habit (longer Spikes would be welcomed-gotta keep those finger ports breathing) and they can handle low and high power ML 526 ML332
Taken from the Zu website: “Zu-Griewe Cabinet Loading-Revised finger ports on the bottom of the cabinet reduce noise and better couple the acoustic impedance of the room to that of the full-range driver, yielding tighter and clearer bass without sacrificing amplitude extension down low. The revised design also makes the cabinet significantly stronger, not that you were using it as a motorcycle stand. Still, stronger in this case is good and opens up other possible structural engineering solutions to further reduce cabinet noise.”
knowing about these for years, i never thought i'd be into them. but here we are now. it's like porn. you run out of things that turn you on, eventually you get into the nasty stuff and also as an audiophile matures, they realize that dynamics are the greatest contributor to listening enjoyment and engagement.
A year later im considering getting some mkii. Current reference is forte ii. Soul could potentially better the forte in point source time alignment and dispersion. But the forte will be very hard to beat. Horns have an ease and speed and the forte ii dont require a subwoofer.
@@ColocasiaCormPaired with the right amp, no subs are required, but I still keep mine, as they do increase the soundstage and fill in the below the 35Hz or lower, these speakers are capable of.
The Zu's are a love or hate speaker, and much is gear dependent. I sold off $8000 in gear and replaced all of that with a $200 Sansui 4000 stereo receiver. Nothing small about these speakers, I own the DW6 Supremes and a pair of the original Omen Dirty Weekends, also paired to a Sansui 2000 stereo receiver. These can light up a room, and are incredibly pleasant to listen to at low volumes. I would not trade them for anything Klipsch offers. Even Steve G still has his pair of Zu DW's floating around his apartment.
Love my Soul Superflys (listening to them right now!) New generation looks great.
Zu's are so hard to come by second hand, soon as a set hits a shop, its sold again quick!
Love to get a video like this on the Dominance speakers!
Got my DW's with Jupiter copper upgrade yesterday, love them so far..⚡👍⚡
Looks great! Hope to have the opportunity to hear the new Soul 6 at Capital Audiofest.
Wish there were some reviews in these.
Love it, can’t wait to get these for review at SonicFlare!
I've had a pair of Omen DW's for a year now. Best speakers I have ever had. Maybe someday I can step up to the souls.
Good to see you embracing the dual concentric design.
A Tannoy-esq dual concentric design ... Piont source like no other..
Please do review or design video on Union and Union Supreme
I love the Zappa/Vai story.
Great job ❤ congratulations on ur amazing company ..
Great work ZU team!
man these look sweet, would love to see a review of this by Ron at new record day!
@@Larstig81 Steve Gutenberg already reviewed these.
Wish they had a grill as an option, for those of us with kids.
Waiting on delivery. Hope soon

On caring about the acoustic needs of others @9:48: "...sometimes I don't." Hahahaha!!!
I love my Zu's!
Are you planning on using this material in other speaker models?
Will the new drivers and crossover work in the previous Gen?
I really want a pair.. wish I could listen to them first… hmmmm what to do
Please make ribbon tweeters as a upgrade kit for other Zu Audio models than Essence. Love from Norway 🤟🏻
Ribbon tweeter would require a cross over. I doubt Zu would go that route.
@@faludabutt8253 they do have networks. ruclips.net/video/wXsHLiiXZxQ/видео.html
Zu Audio makes speakers that cater towards musical listening not analytical.
wish i could afford it.
Im a new used dealer in the UK. I use druids. Can't recommend them highly enough. Forget "hifi" these are music.
FZ and Zu! Yeah!

Steve G. says they sound small compared to his same-priced Cornwalls. They are also unforgiving, and don’t sound good with Decware tube amps.

@@particularlynothing sounds a bit pricey you can get it as a kit I would have thought about 2 smackeroonies
@@particularlynothing that’s a hard price to digest. I’d rather get a used pair of druids

its hard to believe that big companies like Jbl or Kef havent came up with all these high tech improvements first. show some graph’s and numbers
Does it have a grill cover? I don’t like the look of exposed drivers.
No grill covers, but you can now get the speaker surrounds and tweeter in all black.
