The first few times I saw Eric I was so drunk I don't remember the concert just fragments so I ha e never heard this live in person what a bunch of me being wasted , wasted memories. Music is so much more powerful and meaningful sober. Just wanted to share that......being present in the moment.

In Japan war und ist EC immer besonders motiviert und im Budokan erst recht ganz herausragend spielfreudig. Motiviert und engagiert ist er Antreiber der Band und zugleich als Solist immer wieder begeisternd. Welch Ereignis, ihm zuzusehen und zuzuhören !

its called a minor key... Layla is in D minor, naturally if he plays with specific notes (which he does deliberately) it sounds sad
However the second part is played in C major.
The 7:12 part is still in C major key. It's just beautiful phrasing that makes it sad.
