@@RickyDoverJr Indeed. if you wanna know of another Scott Gorham solo i think is a tad underrated. His solo on "Having A Good Time" from the Chinatown album. While that album is half and half for me. That solo was super nice
@necrodamus5481 Yes it was! I also absolutely love his solo in S&M. I truly believe him having Gary Moore as his co-guitarist really gave Scott a kick up his arse. I believe Scott was even quoted as saying this..That working with Gary made him really try to get better as a guitarist. It di do nothing but good things ,that's for sure. Black Rose stands as their strongest album in my thoughts.
Just watched “Jailbreak” on the Midnight Special. On Scott’s solo, the camera was mainly on Gary Moore. During Gary’s solo, the camera was all on him. Gorham definitely doesn’t get the respect he deserves
btw... on ebay they sell these jackets in REAL leather ... i paid 140 euros with shipping from india and they where also asking me for measurments ... very decent very nice ...
I knew it would be Waiting for an Alibi, it is a superbly constructed lead break that fits the song so perfectly, and my favorite example of Gorham's musicality!
I think this was Lizzy's best dual guitar lineup - Scott Gorham and Gary Moore. The Gorham/Robertson lineup is better known, but Gary plays with such attitude on the Black Rose album and his playing pushed Scott to be better than he had let on up to that point.
Excellent guitar playing 👋👋👋 Any advice on what a learner guitarist should start learning in order to play Thin Lizzy solos like that ? I play a lot of their songs on rhythm - I'd like to start learning to solo and go to the next level - would you recommend that I start learning scales in order to progress ? Thanks
Well as an Irishman my heroes were Phil Lynott a poetic/musical genius. Gary Moore was a monster on Guitar and Scott Gotham with Brian Robertson. These influenced so many Rock/metal bands of today, nobody will ever replace them.. RIP Philo and Gary...
Sykes just slays anytime. I adore the classics and greats of rock n metal, but Sykes just seems to scream ' heavy ' through the slides and squeals etc. Rifflird and then some.❤❤
Never been under-rated in my books. My favourite Lizzy solo and one of my favourite solos of solo. Yes Gorham was very under-rated. Great job in pulling off 👏
Waiting for an Alibi was indeed awesome as hell. Black rose stands as easily one of my favorite rock albums of all time
1000% ! Black Rose is incredible!

@@stratcat9432 It's my personal favorite and yes. i think it is their strongest album
I have to admit that I prefer the demo album.
i knew it was waiting for an alibi!
Scott Gorham is my fave Lizzy guitarist. His note selection n feel is incredible.
My favorite one of his is "Chinatown", That solo is awesome!
Very awesome indeed!
Snowy White played the mid song solo.
There's 2
Black Rose itself a Masterpiece especially on Thin Lizzy life/live.
Their best album!
I’m starting to realize that pretty much anything that the Liz did was pretty fucking bad ass
Thin Lizzy wer the best band on the planet by a mile.💯👍🏴

Sound like a crancked box of rock 🤘
One of my favorite solo, cowboy song is awesome too

love this song and solo. btw this was garys solo not scott
Huge Lizzy fan, check me out. My favorites are fools gold and fighting. Covered both
Fools gold is one my favorites as well!
For those who love to live is my favourite
The pleather jacket is gay
Scott has been my guitar hero for-freaking-ever
WAITING FOR AN ALIBI!!!
Okay I’m a dude but hear me out…
Gary played that solo
Black Rose Scott and Gary holy shit!!! Love solos on toughest street in town and S&M. How could they not be laughing recording that song.
What pretty blue green eyes you have...........
😅😊😮
Joking dude....
私、最近になってドラムが🥁スゴいことに気づいたよこの曲!
"With Love" is Gary's most underrated solo in my opinion! Most underrated Lizzy song too! Phil's Lyrics are pure poetry!
Sigh..... this aged terribly. It sounds like that one kid who just figured out how to pentatonic only.
I thought that was Gary Moore's solo as from the video. Though all Lizzy's guitarists are excellent
Excellent guitar playing 👋👋👋

Romeo and the Lonely and Still in love with you, my favourite Gorham solos.. If I had to pick of course :)
Waiting for an alibi
Waiting for an alibi!
SG is the lead guitarist on Bad Reputation. His solos on that album are the best Lizzy solos, love Robbo with him though..
Terrific execution! Scott is one of the all time greats! Lizzy Rules!
The end lead run is the bit I find a bit tricky also...lizzy was a wicked band had some great guitarists...John sykes is amazing and often over looked
Well as an Irishman my heroes were Phil Lynott a poetic/musical genius. Gary Moore was a monster on Guitar and Scott Gotham with Brian Robertson. These influenced so many Rock/metal bands of today, nobody will ever replace them.. RIP Philo and Gary...
of course it doesn't help that Gorham's solos on that album are surrounded by monster shred bangers by Gary Moore.
the synchronised vibrato, something moore worked on specially.
WFAA is my go-to lizzy track. moore was a wonderful musician.
Nice job, and you’re right, totally overlooked
Cowboy Song or Spirit Slips Away were my favorite Scott solos, but he did no wrong in any song.
Gary Moore played half the solo, the hammer on pull off difficult bit that you fluffed lol ,great job on the first part tho ❤
It's not that he don't tell the truth
Or even that he misspent his youth
It's just that he holds the proof
But you know something's wrong
Nothing underrated about Scott Gorham.
Total rock guitar album for rock guitarists
I like your selection but less of the stare into the camera, trust me
I always assumed it was a Gary Moore solo.
All Lizzy guitarists are unsung.
i thought it was a gary moore solo. has some duel lead at the end which s both
Wonderful!! 👏👏👏 This brightened my day up a little bit.
Gary Moore plays this solo ???
And a lefty. Love it, fellow lefty.
Um that was a Gary Moore solo...
Think is a Gary Moore solo🤔
Sounds awesome! Beautiful guitar too!
Amazing playing!
Ace Buddy.
Love it❤
the best album
Sweet!!!
Alibi
I think Thunder & lightning album has some killer solos.
Absolutely! John Sykes absolutely slays in that record!
Sykes just slays anytime. I adore the classics and greats of rock n metal, but Sykes just seems to scream ' heavy ' through the slides and squeals etc. Rifflird and then some.❤❤
Is the booze ever coming back? Please say yes
But how about the most underrated Eric Bell guitar solo from his tenure in Thin Lizzy?
Eric's solo on "Vagabond Of the Western World" is killer
@@razor7394YES! If not that then The Hero and the Madman
@@necrodamus5481yes, love that one as well
@@razor7394 Yeah, we need ro ask this man if he'll do some of Eric Bell's solos because his stuff is a mix of insane and a bit difficult for me
Which song is this? I would love to see a cover of “Got to give it Up”! Love the guitar solo on that one - so powerful
Waiting for an alibi
I've always thought that the solo was one of the best. Good job!
Post script ... Midge Ure didn't do a bad job either, nor did Moore
Never been under-rated in my books. My favourite Lizzy solo and one of my favourite solos of solo. Yes Gorham was very under-rated.
Great job in pulling off 👏
Brain Roberson plays most of the solo and Gary Moore plays it back and forth with Scott live but Scott is a great player
Incredible melodic sensibilities from Mr. Gorham!
This is waiting for an alibi. To my knowledge Robbo was not on the blackrose album. It was Scott Gotham and Gary Moore.?
Awesome playing big like👍🤗👋
Valentino got a booky shop🍻
Black Rose is my favorite album
The octaves Phil played in Got to give it up is the reason why I play bass🍻
Based on a true story!
@@RickyDoverJr Big Facts..Phil and crew got down like none other..Just don’t make ‘em like that anymore🍻
Ricky...your doing God's work son...keep going
Haha! Much thanks!
Waiting for alibi incredible song! Everything about the song is amazing 🤘🏼🤘🏼🔥
sweet bud bud lizzy fan since chinatownseriously Gorham is one killer dude man
Great to see real rockers still exist.
that very last part of the solo with the ascending hammer/pulls always gets me
Definitely the hardest part! *in harmony!
Awesome man
The Chinatown solo of his is awesome
Bem Gay. Adorei 💊💊💊
Agree!
Because Gary Moore was on that album…
Norhing great and sounds weak
Valentino’s got a bookie shot…
