They also brutally beheaded a legendary actor Esko Salminen, son of the even more legendary Tauno Palo (Brännäs). The series was way ahead of it's time.😅👍

This is nice! I sorta forgot about Evergrey after I got onto my symphonic metal kick several years ago and then never got off it... Seeing Floor sitting on that (box? crate?) reminds me of this story that she tells about her very first time performing onstage (with After Forever). She was doing backing vocals, she had no idea what to do, so she just sat on a speaker until it was her part, then she came forward and sang, and then went back to sitting on the speaker... She was only 16, can you imagine?
this guy is a good singer and nice harmonizing between them so cool that she is working with them elevate them both it does sound similar to her solo stuff
Well done Charlie. Loved it and this song. Floor had to let loose at the end a little. I am sure she was encouraged to go for it by the guys. She never wants to compete with her co-singers. she is so humble and just loves to sing.

My understanding is that he took the lead vocalist position after the intended lead committed suicide. He took voice lessons from his future wife Carina Englund (now sadly ex-wife). So he is not totally selftaught.
@@franshinlopen2166 I have followed Evergrey since 1999 and I have never heard that version about the first vocalist. Just that he decided to leave just weeks before the recording started and Tom had to step in. Please fill me in if you have more info.

The chat mentioned Hannes being a drummer for Evergrey (which I didn't know). I swear, The Netherlands, Finland and Scandinavian metal scene is one big family.
Also, the more I listen to Floor, the less I hear her as a singer and more as an instrument. In general, over the years I learned to appreciate music for every component it is made with. So vocals became exactly the instrument for me, not the singer (as individual).
Floor was pregnant here and simply radiant. And since you are looking at Swedish bands, you might want to check out Chris Kläfford who will have your nerd alert trigger over and over.
Hmmm funny you bring this track up so close to the new release of Floors cover to "Oblivian", which im sure you in very short time will react to. I feel the exactly the same vibes of this song...specially the guitar is so like that cover.... try to keep this track in mind when you react to the new cover from Floor and listen if i´m right or wrong 😉 But yeah...there is some years of "birth" between the tracks, but both are great. Floor is not so dominating in this track, but if you hear this song and the "oblivian" cover just after... they could be on the same record...or in the same " James Bond" movie ✨👌

I actually had both Tarot and Sinergy records before Marco joined Nightwish and bought For my Pain just because of Thomas back in the days. And the idea of Tom (guesting) to fill out for Marco is actually a pretty cool idea. For me personally it would most probably wake up the Nightwish flame that I lost many years ago.

Rehearsal. They get together and hash it out and then practice it ahead of time. She doesn't just walk onstage magically knowing what to do.
