    I’ve always used Semi-Auto transmission and it’s been good
    And that’s because I still shift my gears manually myself even when I don’t use manual

    Been using automatic gear the whole time but recently tried manual gear. Once I kinda get the hang of it I found myself braking A LOT later and I like that 🤣 I tried it at Sepang, track might play a part here thought

    Thank you so much for doing this video! I have been struggling with manual transmission and feel like I make way more mistakes. That’s on me. But at least now I know that semi automatic transmission can be very competitive if I feel more comfortable staying with it. Thanks again.

    Auto gears downshifting to 1st in very slow hairpins is something common with a lot of sima. It's difficult to adjust to that in my opinion. And yeah if you play in Auto gears too much you'll instinctively adjust your braking carrying more speed into the corners to avoid the downshift to 1st and that can compromise your line. That's how it is for me anyway. 😊 And these experiments are really important. I bet you've learnt something new about your riding technique which helps you improve.

    Last year when I played this game for the first time, I use automatic gears almost like 3 months. But I feel like when I did corner entry sometimes the bike turn down to the gear 1 which I don't want to. Then I learn to use manual until now, I feel free to control my bike

    • @DrAce46
      @DrAce46  Месяц назад

      Yeah the biggest issue with the automatic is definitely that extra downshift to 1st. It’s not ideal

    Ok this was an awesome video. I think what you have proved is that with 1000's of hours of gameplay under your belt it makes no difference to go fully auto or manual as you are at the absolute limit. You should have through in some "semi-automatic" laps just for fun there too. Maybe only interfere with the changes when it is dropping you to 1st. Seriously great video though! Really enjoyed this one and I think it will help out some people.

      Much appreciated mate 🔥 I used to use semi auto a lot and found it was a great balance. But I can’t budge from manual now

      Even if you have it set to auto, shifting manually will definitely make you faster by a little bit in certain spots on different tracks, like when you go over a crest and the front wheels wants to stand up, it helps you stay on the gas when you short shift before reaching the crest where straight auto wouldn’t do that

    I've always used semi-automatic (or automatic gears with manual overrides). Be it F1, WRC, NASCAR 06, but especially Moto GP. I found myself forcing downshift to overtake people. The only drawback is when I downshift too many gears to upset the balance of the bike after it automatically shifted multiple gears down for me.
    1:55 Prime example here, I'd force another downshift to keep the revs high so I'll feel the acceleration more.
    10:33 I'm on the opposite side of the fence. I wished it downshifted already, but it doesn't. Maybe the problem is that after I do the override to downshift to first gear, it would late shift up to second gear.
    22:18 Given that I've always used automatic or semi-auto, I am struggling to even to get the correct gears and pace the downshift. On my fully automatic gears, I felt good enough to set a 1 : 31 : 50 with this exact bike. Because any setups are manufacturer-specific, I'm not saving one until I go back to Career mode with my factory Ducati.
    This obviously won't matter on a Moto E bike.

    I did a second test where I use the same Castrol bike in a 3-lap race with 50% AI from the back of the grid. On Race 1 with manual gears, I only got to 10th but still lost time upshifting. Race 2 with fully automatic, I came 6th. But on Race 3, I won the race on the final corner simply by forcing down first gear and shifting late on the final corner vs. Bagnaia.
    So I time trial better on fully automatic, but race better on semi-automatic.

    Keep semi auto gears and when the game downshift to 1st, you upshift back to 2nd. Success

    • @DrAce46
      @DrAce46  Месяц назад +1

      That downshift to first unsettles the bike on certain corners so it would be great if it just avoided 1st 😂

    I think there’s no discussion. Auto gears is for the ones who have just started playing it, or for the players who don’t have so much time to get used to the game and play it rarely. Once you get used to the game’s physic you just have to switch in my opinion, cause it can really help to improve own feeling to it, when you brake, accelerate or also for fight bike wheelies. Lastly, I think it is just way more immersive.

    • @DrAce46
      @DrAce46  Месяц назад

      I agree but I was surprised that I went quicker with auto gears in just a few laps. It actually showed me that I could brake much harder than I have been doing

    • @riggerz7899
      @riggerz7899 Месяц назад +1

      Agree mate short shifting is vital to being fast in game

    • @fra1576
      @fra1576 Месяц назад +1

      @@riggerz7899 exactly, especially in this game where the physics is too focused on wheelies. It’s really important to me when I break for example. I just noticed that sometimes you can’t do certain curves with certain gears, while with others you can, just as real life

    No one shows tire temp

    • @DrAce46
      @DrAce46  Месяц назад

      It’s not really that useful is this game to be honest. The colour changing of when the tyres go hot or cold is usually sufficient

    Does motogp 24 have the same amount of feedback in the controller as motogp 21 or is it worse? I'm close to buying it but i want a final saying from you haha
