Nice cam, but I'll only now buy a dashcam with the starvis sensor, you'll be able to read the brightest number plates at night, which most other cams lack the ability to read number plates.
Hi Bro. You can easily see and read a license plate of a car in front of you with this cam, but of course not a mile away. Maybe not the best cam but for sure one of the better ones I've tested, but missing the cabin cam a bit. Also depends on the lens(es) and cpu and not only on the sensor. Like Sony in their smart phone. Always had the best sensors, but the worst camera result ... lol
When you pull up to cars at night, normally your headlights blur the number plates, can you check this with your cam please. With a starvis sensor, this stops that.

Thank you! Great video! How do you keep WIFI in the ‘open’ mode? Trying to set this up for my Parents but it keeps closing when you turn off the car. I don’t think they would know how to navigate the buttons to open it.
When you connect to the camera wifi it’s not available. Did i miss a step?
Sorry haven't tested that since quite some time and not in the car because there Android Auto is using my wifi and disconnecting the wifi to the dash cam constantly anyway

Hello! How are you able to lock the recordings?
I noticed with this dash cam the application to view or download video is horrible. The WiFi keeps disconnecting from the phone and keeps saying fail then proceeds to freeze…
There are lots of factors playing into that. E.g. very difficult to connect to dash cam wifi while connected to Android auto or Apple car play or other stuff ..
I'll add that the gps functionality is almost useless since the app only shows correct gps location on the map when in live view. For recorded videos it dumps me just off the coast of China.....made me think the app may be getting geofenced to only work on China.
I've tried all the other apps written by the same company for different branded gps cams and they all perform identically. They appear to be fragmenting the market to create confusion.....under the hood these cameras are all identical and only the firmware appears different. The apps are all identical, written by the same bad programmer and the only utility is for downloading videos and possibly changing the settings.
Gps functionality is really only useful for the watermark and the speed which unfortunately is stuck in km/h.
btw if you're stuck trying to change the wifi password, you have to physically unplug and repower the camera to get it to work. The manual is pretty pathetic as well.
Thanks for the review.....it's the only review I could find anywhere for this dashcam. I got it for 40% off and just over $42 ... I wouldn't suggest paying more.

My CTS6 doesn't have a cig lighter. What other USB csn I use?
You run run directly to fuse box.
If you have same mirror as the xt6 there is a plug that goes behind mirror, unplug mirror plug, plug the adaptor in and plug mirror into adaptor, then gives you a USB outlet behind mirror. My wife has a gmc terrain and is what I bought to install the dash cam in her car so now wires running all over. Cost about $30
I bought one, played with it outside of car. Menu irritated me, kept having to back. But once set no worries. Picture quality looked really good, was surprised. I am buying a high endurance 128gb car though that holds up to heat etc better and bought a self dimming mirror adaptor to make it plug and play, No wiring.
Mine after a few minutes it goes out. How do I fix that
