I've been thinking about taking a week long trip to the Michigan side to see how much I can get sluicing, and then try a couple of ideas about reprocessing the black sands for trapped gold...🤔

On the North Shore of Lake Superior, near Goulias Bay, Ontario. My Grandfather mined gold. Thought they hit it, BIG TIME, a huge vien a big time vien. Turned out to be fools gold sadly. His whole crew was ecstatic. Would of changed the entire families lives for generations. I commend him for trying...its worth the chance, as we only live once.

Does the gold come from the old super volcanic eruptions about 1.1 billion years ago that also left copper deposits in the Keewenaw peninsula in Michigan? Gold is well known to be formed by earthquakes and there currently aren't any active fault lines in the Lake Superior region.
I’m not exactly sure where all of it came from , but everything I’ve read says a lot of came from gold bearing regions in Canada and pushed down through glacial activity. Either way I’ll keep trying to get some!!!! Thanks for watching and commenting!!🍺🍺🍺✅✅✅

Have you ever ran across one of those pockets of gold rich white sand, like they do in Alaska? If you do run across a patch of white sand in the middle of the darks, put all your focus on that!
So ironically we have Northern I see. Southeastern Wisconsin. I live close to Portage, WI so central is covered here lol. Can't wait myself to get back to my mother's birth place and where she grew up in Kewaunee. Got different kind of videos to record but I see Wisconsin 9 times out of 10 I will support it.
I would like to buy or trade a bucket of that sand. I came up with a new invention that pulls 99% of the micro gold out of ore. The ore I have to trade is hard rock with micro gold . very rich.
You would like it out here in the PNW. Cape Disappointment in southern Washington -- or, there's quite a bit better gold down on the southern Oregon coast, being deposits from mostly the Rogue River drainage (which was _very_ rich back in the day). Only problem with Oregon is that they don't let you run anything motorized right on the beach, so no Gold Cube -- have to run a hand sluice in one of the little streams that cuts across the beach. Quite a good amount of platinum group metals in the sands in southern Oregon also. I've got an uncle with a cabin in the UP, ya betcha. Think I'll have to pay him a visit one of these times and go run some of that heavy sand.

I loved seeing the shores of Lake Superior, and the fine gold you found there: very entertaining. I would like to know how much dust it takes to make a half ounce. Do you have little jars to keep it in so you have some idea how much you’ve accumulated?
I do keep it in a small vile and weigh it when it gets measurable! A vile around the size of a chapstick is roughly one ounce. Ive gotten roughly 6 grams last season. Thanks for watching!!!! 🍺🍺🥶✅

I live in Minnesota and was wondering if the black sand here would have gold in it to. I take trips to our side of Lake Superior and wanted to try this on the shore. But I don’t want to waste my time if there wouldn’t be anything.

I live in Butte County CA, near one of the few rivers the public can pan in. In the late 1800’s a 54lb gold nugget was discovered near Sawmill Peak close by where I live. There is still gold in this area. I wish I had someone I could go panning with, for the adventure of it...my kids won’t take me cuz I’m half crippled but I still wish I could go...I also collect rocks, and my eyes kept seeing all the beautiful rounded rocks on that beach. That’s another reason they won’t take me, they don’t want to cart all the rocks I want lol! PS, I also like shells! I guess I’m easily amused!

I live in Minnesota and was wondering if the black sand here would have gold in it to. I take trips to our side of Lake Superior and wanted to try this on the shore. But I don’t want to waste my time if there wouldn’t be anything.

Finally gold season is here that is a long drive but it sure looks like fun. I sure do like the feeder way to go!

I live in Butte County CA, near one of the few rivers the public can pan in. In the late 1800’s a 54lb gold nugget was discovered near Sawmill Peak close by where I live. There is still gold in this area. I wish I had someone I could go panning with, for the adventure of it...my kids won’t take me cuz I’m half crippled but I still wish I could go...I also collect rocks, and my eyes kept seeing all the beautiful rounded rocks on that beach. That’s another reason they won’t take me, they don’t want to cart all the rocks I want lol! PS, I also like shells! I guess I’m easily amused!
