I have been to Geiranger two times and it was the most beautiful travel detination ever. This video reminds me of my pleasant memories in Geiranger, thank you.

funfact : Can you see that " S" mark on the mountian side at 3:08-3:09 in the video ? (about 2-3 inches above the volume control) Legends tell that it were a viking king that when he were sailing, he found a huge water serpent and threw it on that wall
Horrible what these cruise ships did and do to this once-so-peaceful place. If you're there in Summer stroll there at night - it's a mess during the day. I strongly recommend the day-hikes along the fjord and the backcountry. After just a few KM you're on your own again :-)
Yes agree - my wife and I settled down to what looked like (and largely is) some beautiful footage and boom - two HUGE cruise ships. Yikes. I guess that's standard fare in such beautiful places these days. Very sad but as avid travellers, we're part of that equation too... What to do??? Cheers from Australia - Dave
I have to agree with you. We were there by train and the place was overrun by rude Chinese tourists. I have to admit I will be one of those tourists when I go next year (not a rude tourist though). 😬

It's an amazing place. You can't get a feel for how big it is on video. The huge scale just doesn't translate.
