That SNL had this guy signed and then dropped him over fears from the mob is insane.. Shane on SNL would've singlehandedly revived the show, instead it's been 5 years of low iq orange-man-bad nonsense which is why Shane's appearance was such a breath of fresh air. I didn't skip through a single skit -- I can't remember the last time that happened. His smile at 1:20 is just one of so many things I didn't catch the first time around. He's a sketch comedy Yoda, SNL f'd up so bad letting him go but it was clearly the best thing ever for his career (and his growing audience!)

When people call SNL "satirical" usually it is not. But this is legit as fuck satire. Love it.

I’ve never EVER posted a comment on any RUclips video nor any other platform. I’ve literally been watching SNL for decades since the Chevy Chase era.
I have NEVER LAUGHED SO HARD at every single skit for any show/any season! Shane Gillis killed it. I loved every punchline, delivery, style. I’m so proud of SNL for taking another chance on this exceptional talented guy and I’m an even bigger Gillis fan now more than ever!! Thank you Loren and THANK YOU SHANE!
