Forever solid for an axle
This is so important! When it comes to the tie rods, they are great on factory wheels, but are folktale to snapping with bigger and heavier tires on.
Yep, gotta be careful!
The ideal way to fix the bronco, is to rip out all the IFS stuff and slap and actual solid axle under the front end. All the new broncos I’ve seen, are constantly breaking tie rods. And if they get beefy tie rods, then the break steering racks. IFS is an all around garbage technology to be used in an off-road vehicle.
Depends on what you are doing. Im mostly trail riding and mud bogging. IFS is smoother for that and just fine. For a straight up rock crawler I agree with you.
@@NorthShoreBronco you’re correct. Where I’ve seen it most is where someone gets their tire between a rock and a hard place.
Also take that side step off if your running 37’s for their intended purpose of running harder trails .
Haha, already put a dent in it
And with some parts being not available or backordered, I just ordered a pair of inner tie rods to have on hand. 2-4 weeks wait time.
Someone on the Bronco6G forums figured out that tie rods from an old ford ranger fit the same. I picked up a set for less than 20$ as a backup. I'll see if I can find the part numbers again.
How about for ranges?
Who would want this new junk
Probably no one.... that's why no one can keep them in stock and they can't build them fast enough. No one wants them.
