    For me the sasquatch is plenty. I remember looking at what was then the most off road capable from factory jeep rubicon, for a few years, wondering when I get it with the stock 33's how I would lift it and add 35s or 37s... Then ford offered sasquatch package. Bronco was my answer!

    Great vid, guys. I basically just want to get back the clearance I lost on my 2 door Heritage from having it loaded for overlanding. And currently, it hits the bump stops too easily when loaded.
    1.5" perch collars sounds like a good solution.

    Great video full of information. Just a note for lifting with coilover shocks such as King Shocks. When you buy a King coilover Shock for the front of the Ford Bronco it is about 1.10" longer than the factory SAS coilover and at least 1.25" longer than the factory Badlands coilover. So at full droop the King shock will increase the CV angle to a extreme angle no different than 1" spacer lift installed on top of the factory coilover. No one seems to talk about this issue. However the Fox coilover has mirrored the factory length coilover for the SAS and Badlands. So the Fox coilover will not increase CV axle angle at full droop as the King coilover does. Now King states that the increased angle is acceptable, however this should be mentioned when discussing lifts and options.

    • @Sitruc_btb
      @Sitruc_btb Год назад +1

      Youre right. It's not something brought up often at all, but droop is droop, no matter how you get it, right? Via spacers, or extended travel shocks.

    • @johnsnyder3318
      @johnsnyder3318 Год назад +2

      @@Sitruc_btb Yes droop is droop, however the more droop added by increased installed length of coilover increases CV angle. Increased CV angle is a killer. Just adding 1” in length wether it be by spacer or coilover results in a terrible CV angle at full droop. This is what is not being talked about. The factory Badlands or SAS front coilover is ~ 23.5” fully extended. People need to check their CV angle at full droop after adding length, they may be shocked. I know I was. If your buying a coilover shock ask what the extended length is.

    Great video, couple semantic nitpicks: Perch collars don't change the spring rate, but they do change the preload so its true that it may ride a bit harsher, but not the same as a higher spring rate. Also, with shocks use the term "Damping" not "Dampening" Dampening would be if you were going over something with a wet rag.

    This is one of the most informative videos I've seen on such a subject. I'm glad you warned your viewers about the dangers of coloring outside the lines. On that same line of logic, this is likely to impact your warranty from Ford. If you get work done from a reputable shop they may include their own warranty on their parts and labor. Is that your experience?

    @VaughnGittinJr Great video, I learnt a lot!
    One thing that wasn’t clear to me is, what happens if I put a taller or stiffer spring with my current shock? I am in Australia and have a Ranger Raptor, (apparently built on the Bronco foundation) it comes with the Fox 2.5 Live Valve shocks… a lot of us are hunting for options to lift these, however due to the current set up being very good we are at a loss as to which direction to go. I’m leaning towards changing out the springs for a taller/stiffer spring, I understand that I will have to adjust the ride height to ensure the Fox Live Valve operates within the correct range. Is there anything else I need to consider, that a taller spring will can affect?

From my research the non-sas badlands suspension has more articulation than sas, I think +1” up travel. Currently it bottoms out at full up travel. I love this setup. My plan is to put a 3/4” body lift to clear the 35s. If my math is right i should clear full articulation. Thoughts? @@VaughnGittinJr I know, it’s definitely brought a wave of new people, just crazy to think about it though. It’s a great educational vid though 👍🏻. People should really do their research before buying aftermarket parts. It’s cringing to watch RUclips vids of people just throwing on any aftermarket part to make a video then people complain about why their stuff breaks 🤦🏼‍♂️ and blame on the vehicle and says it’s garbage.
