    I had a hard time getting excited for it so soon after the Bad Batch, but each week it draws me in deeper and I am really enjoying it!

      Agreed. I’m really enjoying these twists that we get each week. I legitimately have no idea what’s going to happen next week or for the rest of this show and I love it!

    I've been enjoying it. The cliffhanger at the end of Episode 4 made me want to keep watching.

      Same. Definitely will have people coming up with all the theories this week. I hope that’s the tone we keep for a while moving forward.

      @AScottishOdyssey that could definitely be the case. (Qimir) I almost feel now like it’s too obvious though. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he’s the master, just toying with Mae. But I’d also be let down unless the actor has an incredible other side to him that just sells it.

    I am particularly impressed with the feeling of horror and dread in this episode, considering how this is still Star Wars. I mean, there's a limit they won't go beyond with Star Wars, and that's WAY short of typical horror genre movies.
    And yeah, Mae's change of heart blindsided me. It's logical, though ... she must have been hoping that Sol - as Indara's subordinate - would be an easier target. But instead, Sol was MORE skilled than Indara. She knows she can't possibly take on Sol unarmed, so her last hope is the wookie. Who she has to fight after being exhausted by the forest trek. There's no way she can succeed. So she'll fail. And then her master will kill her.
    Given all that, it's logical for Mae to have a change of heart. Oh, and also Osha being alive, and a Jedi (she thinks), does change everything.

      @starwarsmusicanalysis  2 месяца назад +2

      I think a lot of Mae’s hate and anger stemmed from the idea that her sister had been killed by the Jedi. That was huge for her.
      Mae got a couple lucky takedowns but I think she saw her luck running out and with Osha alive, she began to question everything that came before. But this was not well written/scripted and could have been explored better in a short episode as they trekked through the jungle.

    I just noticed - DisneyMusicVEVO posted a bunch of tracks a couple days ago. There's at least one explicit character theme - Bazil's theme.

      @@starwarsmusicanalysis I'm not sure it's from Star Wars, it sounds close to this moment in Harry Potter & The Prisoner of Azkaban: ruclips.net/video/HVeGd3Qn8ZY/видео.htmlsi=3n28X_YBe68IECs2&t=80

    • @starwarsmusicanalysis

      @jakegearhart it could easily be from both. Williams used so much old material in Harry Potter. It’s definitely from somewhere in Star Wars though. I just haven’t had time to find where.

    "Is there a connection here?"
    YES, Koril is Darth Teeth/Smilo Ren! You connected the dots!
    Okay, well maybe. I'll go with it, anyway.

    • @starwarsmusicanalysis
      @starwarsmusicanalysis  2 месяца назад +1

      I like it except for my theory that Darth Teeth was present at the Coven as well in episode 3 and that’s who makes the sound, not Koril, thus the similar music cue. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s some unknown new person too or a dark Jedi. Next episode is going to be crazy though.

    • @IsaacKuo
      @IsaacKuo 2 месяца назад +1

      @@starwarsmusicanalysis Yeah, it could definitely be some unknown new person, especially considering the appearance of his hands. And I don't think the human-like appearance of his hands would be consistent with a Bith or Muun.
      But for example, it could be some random ex-Jedi or non-Jedi who the Jedi just happen to already know - so they think he's not a Sith.

    • @starwarsmusicanalysis
      @starwarsmusicanalysis  2 месяца назад +2

      @IsaacKuo very possible. There’s clearly going to be an explanation for why they don’t think he’s a Sith. I feel like they brought Ki-Adi Mundi in specifically for that explanation.

  • @jungleblazers1249

    I do wish we get more of that horror music from Abels. The music does 75% of the work in that scene, and actually made the Sith Lord frightening. I just hope they carry that momentum into the next episode. Not going to lie, I felt this cliffhanger felt sort of cheap considering the episode was only 25 minutes.
    I'm starting to think the show is having an issue with tone. The ending of this episode is how I think a lot of people expected the whole show to be like, which is why I think some have been disappointed so far. I think if it sticks with this horror tone for the last 4 episodes, it might change some people's opinion of the show.

    • @starwarsmusicanalysis
      @starwarsmusicanalysis  2 месяца назад +1

      I’m hoping it will. I think you have to kind of build into a tone like that. 8 episodes of it would become stagnant. Mae never felt threatening or got this treatment because she wasn’t threatening. That moment was impactful because of it waiting until then. But yeah, I think the rest of the way, there better be a lot more eeriness to the entire show.

    • @jungleblazers1249

      @@starwarsmusicanalysis Yes, more eerieness more horror. Because they just showed they can do it well.
