I would love to see what was once a dated British 70s bungalow for grandparents developed into a large family home as if the other way round and it being the young family that have moved in with the grandparents and pooled their money for the developments, rather than the stereotypical story of the grandparents moving in with the young family! 😍

Primary school in the 80's. now my 4 year old goes to an Infant school. I was like WHERE is the Primary School, the other parents probably think I'm bonkers! they could be right.. So Infant School, then Junior and then Big School... but its a Academy, listen to me... I will shut up now. LOL
I love this build! Amazing. When you are describing the father, I'm imagining him as having a detached relationship from his children. Reminds me of how Atticus Finch parents his children. He's there for them. He loves them. He provides for them, but when it comes to having fun together and bonding, he's too busy working for that. He's committed to helping save lives, so that takes up his time and thoughts. It's not a conscious choice to ignore his family. It's just who he is.
I don’t think this is at all up your alley, but I would love to see one of those godawful American split level ranches that has been renovated into something completely new. I see a lot of split levels with an additional story added. My parents went in a different direction - added an entrance way and a large room where the back deck had been, tying it all together with hipped roofs so it went from eyesore to charming. The neighbor children called my father the Rock Man because he came round to help clear land in exchange for keeping the rocks which he used to create beautiful hand stacked rock walls. Dad even created a fish pond out back connected by pump to the water well with a smaller runoff pond so the koi can winter over - in New England!

I love the sunroom idea, I look forward to meeting "the wife" "the husband" and "the nature goth" and their dog. Gameplay can be quite nice and relaxing when you have a storyline going :) tbh i would love to see you do a crazy hippie psychedelic build with that piano
When you said you'd like to show us your legacy builds, households and their lifestyles etc, for some reason I was thinking of "Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous" lol You could make a series out of that, tbh! 🤣 Love this generations house. So much potential for gameplay. I generally don't have the patience for long term game play, but this build is giving me ideas! PS I stopped taking piano lessons in my teens. I still play though, and my wonderful parents have kept my old upright at my childhood home, so it's nice to get to play when I visit!
I saw a solid dark brown swatch of the upright piano in one of the trailers so that made me feel better...but it also looked like there were stickers on it -.- I hoooope they know us well enough to know we need a plain neutral option too!
my mother used to play the piano when she was young and she recently picked it up again and loves it! (I love it too, cause now we can play together) if you're really interested, I'd totally recommend you taking lessons again - a big plus also is that instruments keep our brains young!
I love that the parent's bedroom is a bit battered and mismatched, I can imagine them being gifted bits when they started out and finding stuff at antique shops/car-boots when they were newlyweds and it all just having so many memories.. plus why replace when that money can go on the kids.. something installed by the grandparents. I can tell that her parents were fine with downsizing to that bungalow just so they could watch the grandchildren grow up as nothing is more important to them than the joy of love and children (i swear they are aging hippies at heart- even if they were born outside of the hippy era) (ps I may be her mother its describing me to a T lol)
I love this build! The story you've told with it is great and the décor is gorgeous! Edit: The desk chair and computer disappearing is a bug, I believe. I've had the same problem in the past. Ended up moving the desk away from the bed and it fixed the issue.

YES YES YES! You should definitely get back into piano! I’ve always been interested in guitar and piano is where I started, getting a knowledge of all the notes and experimenting. I’ve taught myself music just by using the basis of piano!

That's true, getting items to match is always a struggle, unless you are going Boho. But I think those swatches can be used in Jazz halls or Churches, or maybe street music as they had it in the trailer. But I was thinking of using it in a children's library.

I used to play the piano but I was forced to stop when I got tendonitis on my right hand, it gets tired really quickly and it makes me sad because I loved playing the piano. Oh well...
Ok I am most definitely using this home for my legacy family. I am deciding to move my sims 3 legacy family and expanding them to sims 4. 😅 sims 3 keeps crashing and I can’t bother with it. Hope the Growing Together pack doesn’t disappoint 🤞

For a bit growing up, we were able to afford a gardener, and we had a striped lawn. Love the look of it.
