As a successful collegiate player I have to say this is some of the best instruction I’ve seen on RUclips. The passion for his players, the explanation, the energy…world class teaching on display.
I understand how you explain things you so comprehensible. My golf swing has improved since I started watching Porzak golf videos and I won’t watch anybody else now so thank you for all the videos and everything you put into your videos. I would vote for Pozak golf coach of the year
Adam: I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the incredible impact you've had on my golf game. Your expertise, guidance, and positive attitude have truly made a difference in my approach to the sport, and I couldn't be more grateful. Your instructional videos have been incredibly informative and easy to follow, and I've already seen a noticeable improvement in my swing and overall performance on the course. But beyond the technical aspects of the game, your emphasis on the mental and emotional aspects of golf has been particularly inspiring. It's abundantly apparent that you love teaching. I've spent untold hours combing you tube for instructional golf videos but yours are clearly well above everything else I've seen to date. Your passion for the sport and dedication to helping others improve is truly admirable, and I feel fortunate to have stumbled upon your channel. Thank you for all that you do, and keep up the fantastic work!
I have watched a lot of golf videos and hands down.Porzak golf videos has helped more than any videos I’ve watched and will continue watching your videos until have a swing that will help be competitive. I’ve tried to teach myself for a lot of years and still don’t have any confidence to go out and play with my friends and drives me crazy so thank you for all the things you do to try and help golfers get better. You are awesome. Also i watched one video and you was saying that your Polish. That’s pretty cool because I am polish as well. My last name is Lesinski lol
It's easier to enjoy the process when you know you are on the right path and have a clear map of what you are trying to achieve in the golf swing. You have given me that Adam. I can't thank you enough for these videos they have had a huge impact on my game already and I've only been watching them for a few weeks.
Mr. Porzak your videos are the most comprehensive and insightful information on internet....I just want to personally thank you for what you're doing for players golf game and being generous with this information. God bless you.
Oh!!if only I had watched thi earlier. Thumb centered down shaft caused a stress injury. Had to take 3 week rest! Now I’m at 1:00 o’clock too . Feels great!
I came across this video after myself making a similar grip change to Ollie. At first it’s so awful but after you see a high ball flight compared to low left. It’s a game changer. Thanks Adam still can’t believe this content is free
I heard Boyd summerhays say he changed Tony finaus right hand to stronger in order to soften up the right elbow so I guess it's just different for every player. Great instruction!
Adam, of all your great videos this is the best for me. Swaying and reverting to a shut / strong grip are my worst tendencies. Come back to this all the time.
Another great video. Really stripping it back to the basics, to keep everything neutral, which means a simpler swing without manipulation and just rotating freely. Brilliant Adam. Kind regards Gary England.
Love the channel. Any tips for a person that has a large chest ? My arms are to the side of my body and have difficulty getting my arms on top of my chest to get into your check points
Thank you so much! We work hard to keep things simple, it’s not easy. Why turn a simple math problem in to a calculus equation! Thank you for following!
I had a tendency to sway, this tip of pushing the hip to the left, stops the sway and helps me turn, also pushing down to set the club on the backswing helps me stay on plane - great instruction thank you, and it works.
I'm blown away that I found this video... this is the exact change I'm working on... You explain like no other instructor!! thank you Master Porzak!!🫡 You are the best out there!!
How unassuming is Adam quote: “ I don’t want to hinder your progress” and that’s a kid , Adam you are a gentleman and the best golf golf coach there is all comers included ,thank you.
Man, your content is excellent! I have been looking for a new coach since my coach pass away. It’s been tough. I was told to strengthen my grip which was awkward and caused me to have a bent arm and the top because the face was so shut and then a cupped wrist because I could feel a shut face. I’ve been going back to basics from a normal I kept some of the basics you teach are identical. Of the different things I’ve seen you teach, it has simplified the swing. Less is more. I bought Luke Kwon’s online program and found it helpful and I have been driving the ball better but since going back to a neutral grip I’m hitting fairways more consistently without stress of where the ball might go.
We would love to become your go to guys! Very impressed with the lessons being a new subscriber. My question is do you stand farther away with long irons and fairway woods?? Any assistance will be gratefully appreciated....thank you
Yes every time the club gets longer you will stand slightly further away from the golf ball you’ll get a slightly wider stance and the ball will be a little bit more forward
Once the grip and the hip are in place, do you just turn the body back and through, or do you swing the arms and hands to match the hip and body turn in order to make the hit through the ball. I have seen your hammer drill where the nail is at hip height and the butt of the grip is the hammer. I love your lessons and your approach to the swing. Thank you. Jerry. Toronto Ontario.
The nail is it hand height and once the hip and the grip are ready the hip turns but the grip really needs to feel like it fires a lot faster into that nail!
Great content! The grip under left pad has helped automatically bring the club head up a lot faster combined with the hands low takeaway (Beach ball under water). Thanks so much!
So is grip and hip the same with each and every club in bag especially driver and wedges. And is it the same concept of squaring the club with grip and use the body to turn?
Yes..acceptance is essential to pleasure..when we enjoy process instead of thinking about outcome, you are open to learning from both the good and the lousy shot..the formula for success is accept, feel free, learn, then improvement comes naturally..effortless learning..Stressdr
This might seem like a silly question, but to get the club face open slightly at address… are you taking your LH grip with it open and then setting the club down behind the ball, or are you setting the club down first with it open and then taking LH grip?
Thanks Canefan17, we only want the club face square at address. We prefer to take our grip first with our LH on the side of our body and then address the ball. Let me know if that clears it up for you. - Gabe
Great video!! I've noticed you keep your feet pointed straight if not even turned in a bit. Is that what i should be doing as i have trouble swaying of the ball ?
I’m so confused…I see so many great players that do move their hips slightly back in the backswing and then recenter as they get to the top, yet you teach to not “sway”. Is this more of a stack & tilt thing? I really want to get better, but there’s just some much conflicting info out there these days. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks
Can the wrong size grips cause you to grip the club incorrectly? I have a hard time covering the grip with my left hand (left hand golfer). Standard grips seem too thin though. I currently have mid size grips.
Hello, I have been following you or should I say watching your videos on RUclips for a while . I’m looking to see how I can get advice from you on my golf swing. Can I send a video or call to see if there is any possible way to get some information or what else is available.

Here you have a great student with a great natural swing of his own and you changed his grip? Why? As he should he keeps his upper trail arm aligned perfectly with his trail shoulder so he can use his trail arms to swing under his trail shoulder. And he has a natural quarterback throwing of his club head down to the ground as it contacts his ball perfectly. He also did a natural 1/2 step pivoting of his body to the completion of his classic finish. All beautifully executed. Now you want him to turn the club head around his body more using your restricted grip? Again Why? Cheers
You know it's funny I've always had a strong grip not overly strong but strong It might miss is left but what's funny about it is I try and just neutralize my grip not to where it's weak just neutral and it's just amazing how weak the grip feels but I will keep doing it to make it feel correct
You know also one thing that helps to start the club back with your chest is to hover the club a little off the ground instead of it being grounded and trying to take the club back from off the ground
No doubt about it! There is certainly an acceptable range for the grip and we take that into account by understanding the student we have in front of us, their level, capabilities, and goals for their own golf swing! Thank you for watching!
Having a more neutral grip will lead to less manipulation in your golf swing! Gain Distance Now - bit.ly/PorzakFreeVids

Iam 51 still working on that golf attitude. This kid is going places
No doubt!
Notice at 10:40 when Adam puts grip in right hands. In the fingers! Great. Just follow that .....

We like pretty neutral feet
Great job with another young golfer with a 70 year old learning your teaching too! My only suggestion would be to “mic” the student.
I have a stronger grip always have and my miss is to the left but I try really hard to weaken my right hand grip a little
Wow didn’t realize my grip was always centered gotta go to the range today and work on that grip
Wow he looks like hi is going to be good really good
Thanks for watching, Ollie is and will continue to be great! Thanks for the support!

Is it bad to have the left hand hang off the butt of the club a bit?
Not ideal, your hands are the first connection to the club, it's best to both have them on all the way in the proper position.
Hell yeah sick
Thanks Narzo!! What did you like the most?
@@PorzakGolf I liked olieeeee

Ollie was me after i changed my grip that boomerang shot haunted me at first but trust it and commit to it
Nothing wrong with a strong grip.

Thanks Mark!
the feeling of shanking the ball, with the correct rotation, IMO, is the biggest bottleneck of amateur golfers;
You know what they say, a shank is about 1/4” away from being perfect! Lol
