I've cooked your recipe lots of times now, its my favorite dish at my local thai place and this is exactly how it tastes there, thank so much for the video !
Best recipe. Made chicken and pork larb gai and it was a hit in my household. Love the advice about the rice powder going in last aswell as the lime juice/ fish sauce ratio

I came across your boat noodle video and as I watch, something made me want to continue watching. And omg I love your cooking style and your sense of humor with your tooth. (: looking forward to more videos!
Looks awesome! Thanks for your tutorial. I'm making this tomorrow. Toasted and grounded the rice tonight. I will follow your recipe. Can't wait to try it!
oh my goodness... you are the cutest!! I just got back from Thailand, and I loved the food so much. Thank you so much for this wonderful video... can't wait to try and make my favorite Thai foods with your good help. Well done!!
♥️♥️I love your explanation so thorough. I am glad I came across your channel. I already subscribed and my husband and I look forward to trying your recipe. Thank you for sharing.
Hello! Long time no see! I won your contest a few years back when you gave away that wonderful salt from Thailand.... I enjoyed it so much... Thank you again!!💋
Thank you so much! This video was excellent! I always have a hard time finding videos that are not too long, but not too short. But what I really appreciated were these very unique tips which I’ve never heard of but explains so much when my dishes haven’t came out well such as the importance of the shallot being very thinly sliced due to the strong flavor. I already sliced my shallot, but I hope I’ll be able to get a good flavor because now I just ended up mincing the shallot lol! Kap koon kap! One question, many times the salad might have a bit of a bitter flavor from the line. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I use quest, limes, and a regular citrus juicer. Any ideas? I am getting the bitter flavor?
Also boo and props to the cameraman, boo is for throwing out your wife’s retainer, props for doing a great job with the recording, as well as showing your face to take full accountability! Good job, my man
@@SpoonForkHeart I did try yesterday but messed up cooking pork as I didnt realise 200f not c! My own fault I cook a lot and should have known. Still turned out amazing. I wanted it to make yum moo krob.... Thanks again x
hi Siri, i made beef meatballs episode 48 WOW YUM!! i got 38 jumbo meatballs 4 less than 9$!!! i put them in mushroom soup serve with pasta in stead of tomato sauce : ) Greeting.
Lol I laugh so hard when ur telling us the story of ur husband throwing ur retainer away. That look! Lol thank you for the laugh and teaching me how to make Laab!
OMG! That's my favorite Thai dish but I like it with fish sauce and basil!😝😝😝 sometimes I fry shrimp with the head and use all the same ingredients girl you and the camera man would love it if you try it let me know
Hello from Dubai! It is the middle of self isolation during Corona and wanting to try a new dish. I don't have a mortar and pestle, can I use a regular blender to grind the rice? We lived in Bangkok for 3 years and loved the food - can't wait to try this. Thank You! xo
Thank you! I love your recipe and your beautiful accent. Also, I threw my retainer away at the school cafeteria in 7th grade. Still feel the horror, lol!
I’ve seen versions where they discard the liquids coming out from cooking the chicken since chicken can be a bit toxic. I also see people add palm sugar as well. Thoughts?
Also, here is a similar version of LAd Na for you to check out while I am working on a newer and different version for you: www.spoonforkheart.com/blog/crispy-noodles-with-pork
We made this tonight. Tasty. Found it very salty. Either it was the fish sauce brand, or the chicken bullion (the suspect)? Will adjust next time. Can see this will be a favorite once we figure it out. *WARNING:* Toasting the Chili peppers. _Crikey!!!_ Went into eye watering coughing fits! Highly irritated the lungs & sinuses. The air seemed instantly infused with something released (capsicum?). Opened the windows/ turned on every fan to dissipate. Won't toast these again.

I watched 3 different Larb Gai videos before this one, and this one is the most helpful & matches what we ate on our many trips to Thailand.

Tracey's World This is how the larb salad is traditionally made. You may be referring to the Thai Basil Chicken (Krapow Gai) 😊

Usually toasted rice is sweet rice right?
Yes, correct
I’ve seen versions where they discard the liquids coming out from cooking the chicken since chicken can be a bit toxic. I also see people add palm sugar as well. Thoughts?
I also have seen many variations. Honestly, I have eaten at least 50+ different variations and like them all haha.
