At the budokan DVD you can clearly see Su looking for her at her left side with her eyes wondering where the hell is she . She kept singing like a boss though but you could see the confusion and worry in her eyes
If Moa (probably) didn't know Yuimetal was going to leave, she should know what it's like to be performing without her. this is a mixture of Budokan and Legend S.

It's possible that long ago, Yui told Moa of her dream of being a solo artist. That seems like the kind of thing someone would tell a best friend. But of course, who knows for sure. Maybe Moa was surprised by her decision to leave.
10:50 is when moa metal pulled a muscle in her left leg. Moa , yui, and su metal are pretty professional because they kept doing the performance even when yui fell off stage and moa metal got hurt.
If you could see it at 10:50, Moa was in the kneeling position, and at first, it appeared as though she was trying to adjust her position, but then when she got up, she wasn't putting any weight on that leg.
You can tell that the crowd really cares about Yui as they called out for her after the song. And you can tell the closeness of the girls with one another from that point on ...when Moa is obviously in pain from her fall and Yui grabs her hand on the way down the stairs. Priceless!

Yet she came back and did one of their most energetic and risky songs...she was also a consummate professional in staying off-stage after her fall, until the house lights went down. These kids are real pros. Damn, I bet Koba had a heart attack when he saw Yui fall off of that stage.

Thanks for the video. Judging from what I could see on the Budokan Blue-Ray Disc, the fall may have been about 8 feet. I can't tell for sure. I'm judging from the stage on the other side, which is closer to the camera for the video. I think Yui-metal did give out a yelp. Listening to the BD, I could hear both Yui-metal and Moa-metal singing to the audience, then there was a weird longer yell, after which I could only hear Moa-metal. Su-metal and Moa-metal had t know at once that something was wrong, but they literally, did not miss a beat. I think there were being updated by the stage manager. At one point, Moa-metal had a bit of a strained look on her face, the suddenly lit up with a big smile. I think that was when Yui-metal got on the comm and Moa-metal heard her voice. I could see Yui-metal was in pain during the last song, but did a great job, anyhow. Same for Moa-metal when she fell. These two girls were only 14 years old at the time.
I saw Moa's little stumble she had while she was running on IDZ, and then right as the 2nd verse started, it looked as though she was trying to adjust her position, but in reality, her leg went limp, and when she went to get up from that kneeling position, she could not place any sort of pressure on her leg.
Well, now I know why all the tough guys on the metal scene have RESPECT for the girls. Not mere protective instinct (anyone with human feelings would have), or tenderness... total respect. I mean, I respected them as professionals, but I see I didn't respect them nearly enough, especially the little ones. Damn. No one can ever tell them they're not metal.
To those who still can't see it (it's VERY hard to catch; literally like 7-8 frames tops and the camera is all over the place): Before the video "starts" at 0:24 there's a series of slow-mo frames that is replaying the scene that happens in realtime from 2:36 to 2:39. They freeze the frame right at 0:17. At the very bottom of this frozen frame you can see Yui's left arm (pointing towards the top of the frame) and the left side of her skirt basically "diving" off the stage. Again this scene plays out in realtime from 2:36 - 2:39. You can even hear a faint gasp from the crowd right as it happens.
I'm still amazed at the fact that she hardly makes a sound. I personally would've yelped (or screamed) if I had fallen like that. Kudos to her. Also, now I can also see how she slowed down during IDZ to wait for Moametal who had fallen as they were running at the beginning of the song. These girls are truly an amazement.
maybe they taught the girls uchikomis (a form of breaking your falls) just in case they ever fell like that, so she would have ended up with a bruised arm but she would have been unharmed other than that

We are definitely a protective bunch over our girls!! . could hear the crowd passionately screaming for yui after the song in concern, as i would have.. these girls have raised an army of devoted fans who definitely look out for them protectively.. either online or in person at shows .. even other bands.. i love being part of that collective.. 🦊🤘 so proud of these little ladies.. def missing Yui

Perhaps this is the likely cause of YuiMetal's "disease". Sequels of this fall. It got worse over the years, until the pain prevented her from dancing at shows. Falling from that height can leave permanent sequelae, depending on how it hits the ground. The worst falls are those where the person is not waiting, not giving time to try to avoid falling to the ground in a bad way. There is a video at a festival that you can see the pained face she expresses as she dances.
I don't think the original person who took the expected it, plus as recording is very frowned upon in japan it seems they were trying to hide their camera/phone.
Toddy Zilla He turned the camera away when she fell, but for good reason, the footage is disliked a lot + really disrespectful and I would have been surprised if this video stayed up this long with the actual fall in it
It's not disrespectful to show a "minor" fall.. part of the show and demonstrates her courage, perseverance and professionalism. Everything they sing about. I've no problem not seeing it if the title of video wasn't "Yuis fall)..
It could be that injuries have finally caught up with poor Yui, and it could be the reason for her absence, I am hoping that she is just getting the needed rest to help her fully recover and feel refreshed. They are pretty strict with recording video in Japan, and it was probably tougher back when this show happened, and I doubt many were trying to film it. You can tell the person recording was trying to keep their phone out of sight. Even now you don't see many good fan cams from a BABYMETAL show in japan.

No one knows that, it was never stated by anyone, even by her in her note to fans when she left. Also, she performed for a few more years before she left.
