Man, Green Lantern would've made a headliner as a floorless at Michigan's Adventure or a number of other parks in the chain. It's wild they're just scrapping it.
@@pabushcraft108 Many coasters have survived multiple relocations, and it may have improved if proper care was taken/with new trains. Though I agree that having already been relocated was almost certainly a hit against it.
@@aj74205 You are definitely right about coasters surviving multiple relocations, although these are usually smaller scale coasters. I think that unfortunately due to six flags’ poor maintenance it would likely be significantly worse than it is today. Firebird at sf America was only relocated once before being converted, and it’s still a shaky mess.
what if they relocate parts of it. repurpose the lift, station, break run, block brake, retrack the drop and loop and create a new layout of the rest.. perhaps where they want to relocate it, it would not fit as built. plus if like Hulk the track was too rough and needed replacing anyway..
If they’re going to remove this and Ka, the next addition BETTER be worthy of both attractions. I wanna see a multi launch Vekoma blitz coaster. Great Adventure better not disappoint.
It's definitely really a great pleasure to meet you. I've been on KINGDA KA many times already. Now I'm definitely going to miss this great coaster. Also Green Lantern coaster. I've also been on the Zumanjaro Drop. Hopefully two years from now we'll have a new record breaking launch coaster.
I'm really gonna miss lantern as well 😢. And the worst part is that my unknown last ride was before fright fest, because during frightfest i opted to ride superman instead. Im happy that I atleast got to experience it, unlike those who never got to.
The que building right behind the Green Lantern sign/plaza is gone. As well as the Green Lantern origin theming signs that were inside it. The Green Lantern sign (what you can see in the video) and giant lantern statue are still there as of the day this video was taken.
I grew up going to GA. I absolutely hated Green Lantern. To see it go makes my heart kinda happy cuz I know they’re gonna build something immaculate, but the other part of me is sad because this is the first time in a long time that those rides will not be part of the skyline very soon.
i must be the only green lantern fan. it was my first standup, and i honestly didnt find anything that people complain about. it didnt crush my balls, it wasnt rough, it didnt hurt my legs, it was a fun ride
It was eh for me. Without the head banging it would be a great coaster but yeah in my opinion it's an 8/10. But yeah, I'm gonna miss it as it was my 1st and only stand up coaster and the last one in the Northeast. Sad to see so many attractions gone.
It so sad seeing this bro, the first time I rode green lantern, I said I didn’t like it but when I got used to this ride I really liked it, man this sucks 😢
You’re the guy that will make me determine if I will go to Great Adventure or not. I only went for my Birthday this year that’s pretty much it. I keep seeing your videos & I was like “I’m good maybe next year”
3:16 man I’m gonna miss this view. I really enjoyed green lantern opposed to everyone else. really sad it had end like this for that ride especially when no one gave it a chance.
You guys should go to Nickelodeon universe when it’s winter and all the parks are closed they don’t have a crazy line up but they have a few hidden gems
If Indiana Beach would have got this B&M would have been required to use the new vest restraints. Indiana Beach has quality rights I haven't been on american triple loop yet but oh well I'll get to it eventually.
So happy this ride is going, it was always a lack luster replacement for the most important ride in Great Adventure’s history. Hope Scream Machine finally gets the replacement it deserves and not just a hand me down from Kentucky.
Does anyone know if green lantern might have been sold to another park? I wish SilverWood would have bought it and maybe run it with one floorless train, would still be high capacity.
Seeing the Skyline go is so sad. I understand why the other rides had to be removed-they were old-but the Skyline is a classic. I think it was really lazy to just rip it out instead of trying to preserve it, as it really adds so much to the park.
I'm still hopeful Ka will get remained. I know they said it's not but I don't trust a word Great Adventure says after they continuously lied about everything closing
I did not care for the ride, for whatever reason I could never make it comfortable, but it’s a shame to just be getting destroyed instead of relocated.
Good riddance Green Lantern. That ride SUCKED! Awesome call on that one Cedar Fair. Superman can go, along with Medusa, even Nitro. Give Great Adventure a well overdue makeover! Only ride I hate to see go is Ka.
Yeah, green lantern is super old, twister has a chance, Zumanjaro is designed to be under ka, and the only place it could go maybe is tt2, ka is too big and it would defeat the purpose of removing it because it’s so unreliable, and the skylines would cost way more to relocate then to build another one so yeah, they’re probably all being demo’d
It's pretty bitter to see Green Lantern end up like this. The Coaster could have been easily relocated to Michigan's Adventure. Gotten refreshed, received a new color scheme, and turned into a Sitdown Coaster with Kumba Style Trains, Not Floorless. This is the 3 B&M Coaster to get scraped, if you count Dueling Dragons 2x.😞 Kingda Blah, I can understand why Cedar Flags want to get rid of that maintenance nightmare. A million dollars a year to maintain it, and it only gave 12 million rides over its nearly 20yrs of operation? The original Top Thrill Dragster did better by giving just over 17 million rides. Guess we know which one was the better Coaster Huh!!🤣🤣🤣‼️

While I kinda agree with you, I don’t think it would have survived another relocation. It’s was already fairly rough and would have only gotten worse
That being said if it wasn’t already relocated once it would have been great at Michigan’s adventure or Darien lake as a floorless

I finally got to go on green lantern this year. Also my first time on a stand up coaster. Glad I did or I may have never gone on one.

Curious if you could update about the accident/derailment on Joker and Harley Quinn? Truly a cursed season for Great Adventure 😔
Ka looked cool with all the red lights flashing did they all used to flash I could of sworn it was just the top hat and the center that only did
Just suprised that it wasn’t dismantled and relocated to a smaller park with sit down trains. I guess it was cheaper and easier to just do that
It so sad seeing this bro, the first time I rode green lantern, I said I didn’t like it but when I got used to this ride I really liked it, man this sucks 😢

I did hear that the permits failed from something to do with the electrical so maybe they just can’t touch anything electrical yet.

Send a train
Even though it was horrible, it pains my heart seeing it removed.
feel the same
Sad we're getting closer to the end for the Parachutes :(

Did superman recently get repainted? It pops!

I couldn’t agree more!
Do you think Superman/slingshot will be sbno next year due to construction of the new coaster?
No
what happen to the joker heard trains collided on the lift
when vlog out?
Soon, it’s a shorter vlog than usual though
I miss green lantern
Does anyone know if green lantern might have been sold to another park? I wish SilverWood would have bought it and maybe run it with one floorless train, would still be high capacity.
Absolutely not, you can see from the way it’s being torn apart that it’s headed to the scrap yard
@@ColiwoodStudios sad, such a waste.
I heard there was a collision on Joker today
Do they resell these coasters or recycle them?
Sometimes they will be relocated, but in this instance, they’re being scrapped
That's very sad to see Green Lantern being demolished. I riden it in past and it was pretty fun! 😥
i dont know if im ready for Ka yet... Lantern hurts enough as it is...
I saw you at the park yesterday
Hope you had fun!

I think Ka will get the top thrill 2 treatment. Green Lantern stands in the way for the spike.
Then why would zumanjaro be removed

They took down scream machine in like 2 weeks
@@AlothslothYeah I remember that being taken down within a month I think.
Being sad the Green Lantern was closing is crazy. One of the worst rides ever.
You need to go on more coasters! I could give you a list of HUNDREDS that are way worse and rougher and more painful!!!!!!!
