I did use your video for some reference. I didn't want to remove any radiator hoses, so I removed the air box completely, both halfs. Not just the outer part. Gave me a ton of room to work with and lots of access to connections in the back. Also, instead of the smaller screw driver, I used a big pry bar. Came out pretty easy. Thanks for posting your video it did help. To all the people who are saying he should have done it from the bottom, I disagree. The top way was easy. Maybe 10 to 15 minutes to remove.
Lemme know how that works out. We didn't even try to go at it from underneath, but that may be easier access. Make sure the big wire is clamped down tight when you put it back in. Mine was loose and had to get in there and tighten it back up after a few days.
Hey man thanks for taking the time to make a video to help us all out. Have to do mine now. Did you guys disconnect the battery before doing this? Want to make sure before I start! Thanks!

We also removed the air box. Happy to hear it helped
My biggest struggle was the connection on the back of the alternator, that black plastic plug didn’t want to come off
Working on mine now. I'm coming up from underneath. Seems easier than how you all did it. Dunno.

Yes, always good practice to disconnect the battery before doing any engine work.
20 minutes of my life I'll never get back. I'd rather see an anti Bixx video.
Hopefully it will help someone else that needs to remove their alternator
do you have a video putting it back on?
Poor car
@mt why "poor car"? It got fixed
@@blakereed1986 That repair should be done from the bottom. Its muuuuch easier than fighting it the way they did in this video.
@@MT-cr1to at least work though the issue and got it fixed, better than paying 2k at the dealership,
@@blakereed1986 butchered
There's always more than 1 way to skin a cat, how ever they decide to get it done, the end result is the same.
