    Thanks so much for this video, while driving on the motorway (im from UK) the serpentine belt came off cleanly, theres a bit of an oil leak from the mid to bottom right area. I think the oil caused it to come loose as i did go quite fast. I dont have as much room as the Q7 youre working on as mine is an A6 C7 3.0. But ill do my best. Thanks so much for this video

    Thanks for the great information. excellent in geting what tools i need, which is always fun of these european cars. The tension information was great as well. Thankfully my 2012 VW Touareg V6 came off the same production line. Thanks Again! Plus I had a little laugh at the hawks, I kept thinking "Squirrel". LoL , So G'day from Australia!

    Hi! thank you for the DIY, very helpful! @Halffast719 I see on the video that your belt is a little off of the pulley (not centered), after the replacement is the belt centered? thanks?

    • @Halffast719
      @Halffast719  9 месяцев назад

      Yes. That’s why I changed the pulleys. One of the idler pulleys had a loose bearing.

    Thanks for the informative video. I had the serpentine belt pop out on my 2014 Audi A6 TDI V6 C7 model while driving which I didn’t understand why it did. Old belt was fine. Ordered all new parts. We just replaced the water pump, belt, and the idle roller passenger side just like in your video. Should I replace the other rollers and idle pulley? I mean they look in good shape but now my concern is that when the car idles. On the left passenger side idle roller (which was replaced as well). It’s all in the groves in the other places just that small roller looks like the belt is 1/4 inch out. I drove it home 50 miles today and no overheating issues. Checked it again and no issues. I’m just afraid it will pop out again because of the small gap. Is there supposed to be a spacer or something to make that 1/4 gap on the roller...

    • @Halffast719
      @Halffast719  3 года назад +2

      There’s a spacer behind the tensioner but not any of the others. I just replaced all of them. That passenger one on my q7 was the whole reason I replaced everything. It was hanging off the same as you’re talking about. Just replace all of them.

    There is vital information that was not shown on camera: removing of the idler gears, pulling the pin on the tensioner. If you are going to make a video include all of the vitals. Do not assume that everyone knows how to do what you are doing.
