In Virginia USA we have over 3500 miles of Trout streams containing native, wild and stocked varieties and most of them flow through part of the more than 3 million acres of public, protected land that we ALL can enjoy anytime we want as long as we want free
Hence why here in the UK it’s still regarded as the sport for the upper classes, at least on rivers like these where a days fishing will cost you anywhere between £300 - £700 🤷♂️ You guys have a much much better set up and in any case a lot more water to fish! Unless fishing on lakes here (very popular but still £50 odd quid a day for a decent lake) it is hugely cost prohibitive essentially and unfortunately
You have a big country with lots of space so the economics of fly fishing are completely different, that said a lot of Americans travel quiet a distance for their fishing and if I did that I would be in wales where it is a lot more affordable than England.
All these videos about flyfishing and you will always hear ' THATS A NICE FISH ' repeated again and again..........i'm praying for the day when i ever watch a flyfishing video and someone declares ' Oh that's an awful fish that ' 😂😊
2 anglers on this declared that the trout in slow water where rising for spinners because of their liesurely rise forms.......do they not realize that the fish might have been taking emergers or midges?.

The river Frome is pronounced as ZOOM not as HOME, making it sound like FROOOM. But respect for your video, the content is a pleasure to watch.
Lovely film, can only dream casting a dry fly on the test. I will make do with my rivers in the Yorkshire dales

Fantastic
Isn't this river stocked?
It's filmed along thre different rivers and two of them are stocked (both have wild trout too). The third has mainly grayling and is not stocked.
