I've been practicing this for about an hour, and except for tone, tempo, groove, and that I get dizzy from lack of oxygen after about 40 seconds ... I think I have it mastered.
Mahalo Adam for sharing. Good stuff man. I'm still trying to learn the harp. There are days that I get frustrated but I keep on plugging away. But I go to your videos and keep trying. Mahalo for the inspiration man!! Aloha Cuz.
Hey I emailed you but this video answered my questions. I downloaded the album from your site and listen to it constantly -- great blues singing and harp
Having spun the new single several times I needed more! So I've just purchased 'Harlem Blues' album off iTunes too! Now time to chill in the hot-tub and listen to it.
Hey Adam, I am one of the hundred harp players going to Hill Country. I was wondering about the flood in MS. I am from RI and it sounds to us as though MS is under water,,lol I know it isnt that bad but is it affecting the Waterford? Look forward to meeting u there
Hey Adam, just purchased the new Big Boss Man single off iTunes. Great stuff - love it. Let us know when the full record will be available on there as I'm in London, UK and can't make the trip :)
Regarding your demonstration from 9:41-9:47 on tongue-blocking that rhythmic lick-you claim that you "can't really do it that way," but it sounds great! I just started private lessons with Dennis Gruenling, and harp ignoramus that I am, I didn't realize he wants his students to tongue-block as close to 100% of the time as possible. I'm trying to make the transition, but I'm finding it difficult. I look forward to reaching the level that you describe as "can't do it"!
nice thanks im having probes some time with the sound of some holes they just STOP like some thing is jaming the riffs but ther is nothing there any help??
> "does tougue-blocking clog up the harmonica faster and stop reeds from sounding?" No, but at first it can be awkward, and you have to relearn your bends, and practice a lot to get tongue-blocked notes sound as clean as lip-pursed.

@schmuzzer: The floods have zero impact on Hill Country Harmonica. Our event is in the hills. :)
