I live in Japan, where illegal immigration is not a problem. People from China, from East Asia, and Africa are closer to Japan than to America, yet it is far easier to get into America. Japan has policies which make illegal immigration hard. First, people can't easily make money remittances in Japan. A remittance is limited to about $1500, and you need to provide legal identification and fill out a tax form. Next, employers are required by law to pay workers by bank transfer, and banks are required by law to make sure those who apply for bank accounts are legal residents. Next, Japan's medical system is not required to provide treatment on demand. Japanese hospitals require you have insurance or can pay up front for your healthcare. No insurance and no money means no treatment. Because of this system, the healthcare system is not abused by millions of non-paying patients, and because everyone pays, healthcare in Japan is affordable, as are the premiums for the national healthcare plan (Japan does not have free public health care). Next, Japan's immigration courts are fast and efficient. If you are caught in Japan illegally, you are arrested, detained, see a judge within a few days, and ordered deported with the clothes on your back. Japan never releases illegal immigrants into the country. Those who are detained for being in Japan illegally can apply for refugee status, or contest their deportation, but these application are NEVER approved, so most people sent home with a lifetime ban on returning. Japan's laws against drugs and theft are extremely harsh, and are severely enforced, so those who seek to come to Japan illegally and support themselves by crime would rather go somewhere else where laws are loosely enforced, like America.

It's ironic! I am a U.S. citizen expat living in Central America. Yet, when I return to the U.S. once a year to visit family and friends. I am grilled by Customs and Border Protection, what I was doing in Central America, and why I am coming to the U.S. Yet, thousands of migrants merely waltz into the U.S., no questions or investigations are conducted. To add insult to injury, migrants are given lodging and food, at taxpayer expense.

To deal with the problem in the most humanistic way. The Biden administration needs to draft the "Immigrant Township Act". The language contained in the act would then allow federal dollars to be allocated for land outside of current major cities. These new townships can be self-supporting with schools, hospitals, and police agencies. Capital projects such as subsidized track housing, and shopping centers will create local and state revenue. This will help assimilate our fellow immigrant population. Ideally, instead of saying not in my backyard! We can join hands as fellow Americans, and help them build their own backyard. Build back better. We will encourage our Immigrant population to be trained for these new positions.

The Mayor of New York city has stated that the migrant crisis needs to be handled on a national government level....This is surprising due to him ignoring federal laws and causing this "crisis" himself by telling all of the migrants they could come there for sanctuary from those very federal laws... NYC is a sanctuary city by choice. Sanctuary cities limit their cooperation with the national government in enforcing immigration law. So, they need to handle what they asked for or revoke their sanctuary status.
If you recall, people in New York celebrated in the streets when New York became a sanctuary state. All of these "Trump-haters" felt that they were "sticking it to the President" by welcoming undocumented migrants. Now, these same people are making loud, anti-migrant, bigoted statements.
In actuality, NYC and Washington D.C. politics are 100% guilty of at bare minimum: "Obstruction of Justice" and if we had a functioning justice system "TREASON". OUR Constitution MANDATES and DEMANDS the government to "Protect our Borders" and they are deliberately ignoring this Constitutional MANDATE. If we had a proper justice system, every treasonous democrat who prevented OUR government from doing this 1 task would be in Prison for TREASON facing the ultimate and proper penalty for TREASON, or at bare minimum "Obstruction of Justice".
