This is exactly how I managed to stay in the hobby after burning through two failed tanks as a new reefer. Now I love my tank and the hobby. 6 year old live rock out of a hobbiest’s sump into a reef casa and voila!
You should do a video teaching people to “cook” their dry rock. I had my last aquascape cycling in a rubbermaid container for 6 months before i put it in the tank. Absolutely no ugly phase or issues
I’ve done many Day 1 Reefs! Even a Reef Casa Flat 6. My only suggestion is to wait on the bigger fish. Like the clowns. It’s that amount ammonia those big produce that cause issues off the bat. 1) Add all the live rock and inverts. 2) Wait on the fish at least 2-3 weeks. 3) Add small fish like smaller gobies (Red Heads, Barnacles, Yashas, etc) 4) Add the larger fish after the 3rd month. My only suggestion for the long term success of this specific setup is pull the clowns. Clammania suggests this at the end of his talk with Ryan on the BRS Clam Episode and Coral Euphoria on his day 1 setup. Happy Reefing and love my Flat 6! Thank you for an amazing setup!
He literally explains all this In the video, he’s just showing how they set them up for events. Did you actually watch it? He knows exactly what he’s doing 😂
Hi March .. does the 20" x 20" RC aquarium cabinet come in black or grey , and is it available as a separate entity .. if so , what would be the cost .. I'm in the UK. Thanks Neil .
stunning but why tf would you put a seastare in a 1 day old nano tank. it doesn't sit right that a shop is doing any of this. like jake Adams did but he was more than qualified to do so. the white background makes it but it's a colour that will cause some stress as it's not absorbing any of the light like black does and it will look rancid once it starts to mature it'll make the algae pop to.

I dig the white on white 😮 what a temptation at another tank ..
And what light is in it 😮
March don’t say that I’ll show up with my work trailer and truck 😆
When I saw the tank empty I wasn't sure about the white, but seeing it scaped, it looks pretty dope
i like. why do i also see other reef setups with extremely complicated shit goin on that i dont understand?
I did my first transplant aquarium in a while on My Freshwater side right down to the same filter moved from.the larger aquariums to the smaller one
Really really liking the Ghost. When will it be on sale?
its already available !
@@fragboxcorals oh! Ok cool! Going to look now.
Impressive!

what about the star fish?❤
Can I use my old sand to
I love all white!
Everyone does! But it won’t last. It’s like installing white carpet with a toddler. Too much brown green and purple stuff grows in a reef tank.
Small tank gang gang
Great job and informative March
no skimmer?
Its 2 clownfish why would you need a skimmer 😅
skimmers are for high load low nutrient tanks. I have 2 reef tanks both have the skimmer off
Just water changes on a tank that small ....
I was the 100th comment……

Live rock and water from an already set up tank?
