As a KiCAD newbie I found very confusing dealing with libraries. I would love to have all available symbols in "Place symbol" mode by default and procedure to scan the library folder and rebuild the index of components. Also it would be nice to have some background process which will perform "git pull" for symbols repository and rebuild the index. Also, there are some tools on GitHub like contribution and issues templates where you can define instructions for submitted symbols etc. Those things will make contribution easier.
kicad was a steep learning curve some years ago, I found it slow to get anything done. tutorials constantly out of date with options on drop downs being moved else where or simply gone. the libraries where poorly managed. after weeks of it i gave up. its put me off trying any new version as time is too precious to waste, from what i'm seeing in videos, its still klunky and illogical - unlike older versions of diptrace that just seemed so user friendly and ergonomic but eventually that went a little off the rails and seemed to become a little buggy
You know that there is the possibility of skipping forward on YT videos. And there is also the option of setting relpay speed to x2 if the pacing is not matching your personal preference. I actually think it was a good talk. I enjoyed it quite a bit. :D
Thanks for the great work. I'm new to this and enjoying myself.

Definitely archive all old libraries along with the associated tool suite. This will allow legacy support. Many will be grateful later!

Long winded. gave up after 7 minutes of nonsense that has nothing to do with new features.
PirateKitty I disagree, I think the presentation (while not perfect) was actually quite nice and well-paced.

Demo starts at 4:37.
Sure it does. You're being obstinate instead of observant, I think. Good luck.
