I first played OTC in about 1980 and although it was nothing like it is now, inherently I sensed that it was awesome. I played it many times before the redo and always thought it the coolest place with some amazing holes- 4, 5, 7 with the tee shot over the tree (now gone), 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15. Oh my. Now it is 1000 percent better which is astonishing. I guess what gets me is it is stuck behind a condo development and a car dealership! When you are out there you think you are in Africa or someplace. Breathtaking club. I guess you have figured out I love OTC
Reynolds Park in Winston-Salem is a bit shaggy but has awesome bones. I hear similar things about the Golf Club of Dallas. There are lots of relatively obscure Maxwell courses, public and private, in Oklahoma. Not many are particularly representative of his work, unfortunately.
Riverside Golf Course in Austin, TX was designed by Perry and J. Press Maxwell. It's site of the former Austin Country Club and is where Ben Crenshaw and Tom Kite were taught by Harvey Penick. Conditions vary but the price is modest.
@@garrettmorrison1455 Cherokee Hills in Catoosa, OK is an excellent public Perry Maxwell course and I believe anyone can play Dornick Hills in Ardmore, OK another great Maxwell gem.
Very nice views..actually these videos are amazing and I can't get enough of this videos...actually I was wondering if I can use some of these videos for a golfing website that I'm making...just use some of these videos...cut them and put other videos together...until I can build my own courses then ill be using my own vidoes
One of the most criminally underrated courses and clubs in the country.
This is probably The fried egg’s best work. Kudos…old town is a special place.
@@michaelannecelli6129 played there a few times.
Lucky to call this beautiful place home! @wakemgolf
I’m gonna be a Freshman at Wake next year so if you ever need a buddy to play Old Town with I’m happy to help lol
Freaking awesome video. Thank you for shedding light on this gem! Now if only there were a way to play it.
Looks like a wonderful layout, hope to play it someday!
Love Perry Maxwell golf courses

Never heard of this place until you start teasing this. Wonder why. Any good Perry Maxwell public courses?
