A man named Robert received a call about a month ago that he wasn't expecting. He was informed that his beloved cat named Chebon was alive. Of course, the man was in shock, as his pet had been missing for about seven years.

A black cat showed up in our yard to hunt for birds and squirrels, which I feed daily. He was painfully, thin. I asked my husband if I could feed him, knowing that he'd stick around. We caught him and took him to the vet and the vet said the cat (Now named, Handsome) was around 8 years old. We put out ads in the paper and flyers to see if we could reunite him with his owners. No one came forward to claim him. 15 years later, he's still hunting and active. He'll be (we guess) 24 in November, (when he 1st, started coming around. ) We love Handsome to bits, and we hope he has many good years ahead of him! I think the worlds oldest cat was 38! SO I hope Handsome lives many more years. He has no health issues at all!

Mine cat chose this word as his name also, he likes it so much, instead of his official name Arthy. 😂 And we had dog Aron, who frowned and saddened when we called him else than Kitty. 😅 loved him so much, also ❤.

Seven-year happiest reunion ever!! Many thanks to the kind woman who took “Chebon” to the vet AND to the owner who smartly microchipped him!! Happiest always-together again! ❤❤
The cat looked very sad in the beginning, and then it's owner came back and it changed. It's best not to ever get a pet if you can't take care of him or her from beginning to end.

@@vivianwada6292 Yes I agree that these videos are most likely “faked-up”-but the stories themselves can be truthful. Stock photos have been chosen to try to illustrate the actual events. However if it teaches kindness to animals, I’m all for it, like a children’s story. I enjoy them. Much love❤️.

There was a small orange cat that looked to be on the verge of death that came walking up to me in out covered garage area. He could barely move and his eyes were almost sealed shut. He came right up to me very slowly. He seemed to be in pain. I knew he had been sent to me for help for some reason. I picked him up and told him he was safe now and I would take care of him, that I cared and he would not die. That he had someone to love him. He is now ( Some time later. ) A happy little orange goofball we named Pumpkin. I am very glad I took on the responsibility of saving him. He knows we love him and he loves us back with all his furry little heart. If you see an animal that needs saving, do so. It is the right thing to do.

I love these rare sad stories that sometimes, somehow have a happy ending. This gives me hope. Thanks to the kind man who spotted Chebon on the streets, rescued him and to all of those who helped him and were involved in reuniting him w/ Robert.
My grandma had a cat named Tom (not very original!🐱😂). It wandered off and didn't come back. She moved to a new apartment in the same building a few years later and got a new cat. But about 7 years after ol' Tom disappeared he showed up on the door of the old apartment! If cats could talk I bet he'd have had quite a story. Tom lived about five more years alongside the other cat and died at around 18 years of age. He was a sweet old cat.
Except this one is a complete lie. That is not Chebon, it's Benbencatcat.

Omg. I love this for them. My cat also ran away and was gone for 8 long months. We lived in Maine and he went missing in August and was found in April, so he endured a long hard winter. But thank goodness he was microchipped! A nice lady saw him, just like in this story and took him to the humane society to see if he was microchipped and he was, and they called me. I was so happy to see him and he was in very good health. He had a lil bit of frostbite on the tip of his ear and only lost 5lbs! We were planning to move to Florida in May of that same year. I would have flown back to Maine to get him if he had been found after we moved. Please microchip your babies!! I know this family's emotions all too well. Thank God he was found and returned home!!

My 15 year old cat went missing two weeks ago. We let her out in the morning like we always do and she went exploring and never came back. Usually she never leaves the deck except to feed on some grass. We thought she died. Toughest day in a long time, as I grew up with this cat. Lucky for us, my mom got up to go to the bathroom at 3:30 am the next day and found her lounging around on the deck like nothing had happened. Having a pet run away is hard! Glad this guy got to reunite with his, even after so many years.

Man, I can relate. Our 9 year old Russian Blue was missing for 1 whole week, Saturday-Saturday. Our son founder her Saturday night. She was stuck on the roof across the street. We all cried when she came home. She has not left outside. Pets really are part of your life.
This makes me happy when owners have love for their pets as much as I do. If I lost my kitty I'd be crying everyday for her ❤❤🐈🐈🖤🖤

My baby got out 2 years ago, while i was outdide feeding the strays thst i feed every night.
It tore me up inside like no pain ever did.
6 weeks went by and finally i got him home.
But 7 years is incredible. GOD bless that woman for doing what she did. He never wanted to give up on his baby, and neither would i 😊

In the early 80’s there was a big orange feral cat that took a liking to my mom. I named him Hoser (Bob & Doug McKenzie influence). He would leave presents (mostly dead snakes) specifically for my mom. She tried her best to get him to come in, but he never would. She fed him anyway, and even managed to catch him once and get him to a vet. When she moved in ‘84, she caught him and he moved too. He disappeared in ‘86. In ‘93 she went to the vet with me to pick up my cat that had just been neutered, when some woman’s cat immediately jumped on her lap when his cage was opened. It was Hoser. He had lost a digit on his paw ( that’s when my mom got him to a vet years earlier). She shed a few tears. The lady was really nice, and my mom told her that she was just happy he was doing well, and that she had no claim on him.

@@susanmurrell635 he looked very healthy and happy, and by then we did have two other cats. I was just always grateful that my mom knew he was safe and happy, as was she. Though the woman named him Bob, which irked me. 😂😂
I got a little annoyed earlier in my cat's life because there were at least 3 instances where someone caught him and took him to the vet. See he's been socialized by a weirdo who meows back at him (me) so he has figured out some technique to communicate quite directly with humans. To compound this he has been let into other people's houses just to hang out so he has no idea that these weird cat ladies are going to lock him inside and then take him to the vet.

No matter how long Chebon still has in him, he will live that time with love and comfort. I'm also happy for Robert; it hurts a lot not to know what happened to your loved one, and getting closure must have been a great relief. I know that if one of my cats had ran away, I would worry for _decades_ afterwards, even long after they'd gone past any possible lifespan.

I have a Ginger cat just like him.
He rocked up around 10 months ago and eventually became friendly.
He often will sleep on my bed but is free to go anywhere he wants.
The cat doesn’t attack birds or baby possums. Nothing.

Thank Heaven that this man will get his beloved cat back. That he is 19 is not a problem. He will continue living back where it will be more comfortable.
Covid separated me from my sweet familiar for 11 months. When finally we were reunited, his face changed to such love, and he head booped me. He pressed his head into my chest when I held him for months and would sit looking at me content for hours. ❤

If I were that person I would take that cat everywhere I went either on a leash or in a carrier. I would feed him the most delicious meals ( and of course the healthiest meals snuck in) so I could keep 🎉him happy and content to all of his days with me.

This January I moved to a new apartment, and my cat came with me (almost 2 now) and I lost him for about 3 or 4 hours. And I was a freaking wreck. I can't even imagine what 7 years would be like if my fur baby was gone that long.
