In old Greece before Christ the Greeks sailed Trimarans', three rows of oars on each side. The stroke rate was kept on pace with a drummer. The Captain of one of the boats told his men that the King was coming aboard for the day and everyone to look sharp. And, the men would get extra rations of food and wine after the days sail. When the king boarded, the Captain told his beater that after they cleared the harbor to raise the beat to brisk as the King wanted to go water-sking.
I, for one, appreciate the commentary. I thought it was the right amount, not too much, but informative all the same. My only quibble is when you were talking over the pipes, I had a hard time understanding what you were saying. Thanks for the effort.
