Directed once again by the very talented Guilherme Henriques, this is the fourth video to be taken from Hermitage that comes out tomorrow.
This is a slightly different take on a performance video. Like a living museum, many works of Sacred Art entwine with the song's lyrics and band acting a quite impressive visual atmosphere.
“Make no mistake: this is a METAL song played according to Moonspell’s own signature and rules.It tells of the fever that makes us cross into the desert of our own existences, perpetually looking out for the cure, that will never come unless we change our ways.

They had a middle phase where the albums were rather similar.
In their early and modern phases though they tried something fresh for every album. It's amazing.
Funny thing about this track: as much as the style has changed from album to album, the groove below the riff here isn't too far away from Alma Mater of Wolfheart.

Ouvi esse álbum sem muita paciência e em princípio não gostei. Voltei à obra, outro dia, e percebi um álbum estupendo. Não foi dessa vez que Moonspell me decepcionou! Que banda maravilhosa! Saudações daqui do Brasil.
Sou do Brasil e fiquei 1 mês em Lisboa, conheço a banda desde 2006... que orgulho ser um grupo dos nossos irmãos portugueses! Conheci também More Than A Thousand (pena que acabou)

I was born and raised in Portugal during Dictatorship regime served in the Air Force and in the 70s. attended some concerts and jazz festivals in Cascais at that time there was not a Portuguese rock or metal band glad things have changed now I'm leaving in the states since 77 so kip on rocking MOONSPELL

where did you read that?! they're having a lot of good reviews for this album.
Rommel, as a long-time Moonspell fan, I can say that I myself have had to UNLEARN that initial reaction. I view each of their releases as brilliant. But seriously--point to any two that are identical. This band grows and develops over time, and each disc represents a significant departure from the one that preceded it. Meaning unless you are one eclectic mofo, you are not likely to initially appreciate "the new album", whatever it is. Think about it this way. I Loved Under the Moonspell, struggled with how "polished" Wolfheart was... Then once it grew on me and I appreciated its genius, I had exactly the same experience with the awe-inspiring Irreligious. Can you imagine that? Seeing "Irreligious" as too slick, commercial...a SELLOUT? You guessed it, I had to experience that a couple more times before I accepted that it would take more than a few listens to fall in love with it. This one will be no different. At first, I said to myself, "Where is the majesty and furious power of 1755? The darkness and sinister vibe of Memorial...? The nihilistic goth of Sin/Pecado? It just goes on and on. You could literally plug in any of their discs there and make the same point: They're all different, but they're all amazing.
Let's just appreciate that we love a band that is truly artistic, and challenges us to experience darkness and hope in a different way each time. And to be more mundane, doesn't expect us to pay for the same album (with only slight variations) each release.
And though I love this song, I have to remind myself of everything I've said here, as it hasn't (so far!) blown me away like its predecessors. History tells me that I will wildly disagree with what I just said and will love Hermitage as I do all the others. Cheers and thank you for making that point!

Luckily for me, I'm one of those "eclectic mofos" you refer to in your comment (lol), so the very fact that each album is wildly different from the previous one is what makes me love this band so much; but you're right, it all comes down to the quality of their music, like it or not in the beginning, if you like good music you're bound to love it in the end. 4 - All or Nothing
PS: This is my opinion, but I respect anyone who has a different hierarchy of any of these 4 songs.
