I was at a coffee shop here in Boston, like a month ago, working on my laptop. At a certain point this couple, that was seated a couple of tables from me, got up to leave. As they were walking past me, the wife smiled at me and said, "Don't I know you from somewhere?" I looked at her closely but, as best as I could tell, I didn't think I knew her and I told her so. Anyway, she, her husband and I got into a pleasant discussion, nevertheless. They told me that they were originally from Brazil but had been in America for a very long time (I think 30 years or more, I can't remember). I asked them whether they went to my favorite Brazilian spot. They knew of it, the woman explained, but they did not go there. "We're from Santa Catarina," she said. I detected a we're-better-than-the-folks-at-the-Brazilian-joint attitude. Now that I see your footage of Balneário Camboriú, with its impressive skyline, maybe Santa Catarina folks can be forgiven for feeling, shall we say, a cut above your regular Carioca or Mineira? 😄

This place and Florinopolis another set of postcard places you laugh at other places when they say their beach is the best in the world 🤦 Only 5 other beaches compare one has bioluminescence

Actually about a month ago there was bioluminescence on Capão da Canoa Beach in Rio Grande Do Sul state.
