I really can’t stress enough to all the grown young cats how crucial this mixtape was when it originally released. Anybody who was anybody in your neighborhood had this knocking in their trunk. If you were turning up that night, it did not matter who’s car you were in, this was what was being listened to. There’s a reason the great recession of 2008 was a total financial catastrophe, because everybody from 2000-2007 was balling out of their god damn mind on money from loose banking regulations. It might have been an era of false prosperity for some, but nonetheless Americans were out of control for almost 7 years getting lit as f***. This was the tape to play and it dropped during that era’s climax. Shit was legendary.
