Wow, you can have a team of horses and a cart? Jesus, that alone is enough to make me pay attention. Add to that the player housing and the fact you tame your own mounts is seriously amazing.
+Pokerface Yeah man its pretty cool and the horse breeding can net you a lot of cash if you put the time in to level up your horses before your breed them. Level 8's can get up to 80 mill in the KR auction house
+TheRyumancer Yup you can climb over almost anything and it is pretty cool but not quite like AC. In AC you can kind or sport climb up buildings but BDO is more of a ledge to ledge climb not a wall climb
+Nogitsune I'll be in that creator for hours when it comes to NA cuz I will be creating all my characters at once. I think I get 7 slots with the Guardian Package so It will be a while!
+thePaindog yeah 7, it's pretty neat how many you get for starters :) well that's for those that paid the $100 :) Though I doubt I will use them up all that quick :P
+ClipOnSunglasses XD "That whole "Action-MMO" minigame that they added into it." lol I do love creating a character tho :( I missed CBT1, which means I have to wait to play :( I was hoping installing will give me just enough time to create a character but no joke it took 10 hours maybe more to install -_- IDK I ended up going to sleep maybe even 12 D:
+thePaindog Good video, just bought the NA version and look forward tot trying it out tonight and possibly taking a day or 2 off for the 4 day head start. Also sorry, how is the Ranger? Really thinking about playing as a Ranger.
Southern Fried I have good headphones, so I can hear him just fine. Doesn't change the fact that his audio is out of balance. People who don't have good headphones/speakers will have a hard time hearing him.
+Julian Laureano The weight take a really heavy toll on you. Only carrying 300k cost you half of your total carry-able weight. The weight mostly depends on the quantity not the quality of the item. For example a plate armor only cost 0.5lt but a single hp potion is like 0.15lt and if you carry 200 of them, it plunder like 20lt approximately~ That's why the wagon is really necessary.
+thePaindog Video deserves it. Anyway I got a question you might be able to answer. Is there enough pvp for individual pvp oriented players or is it like "join a huge guild or else forget about pvp"?
+thePaindog When you rented the Warehouse box, is it an actual rental? For example, after 5 days does it disappear etc? Would love to know why its called a rental vs just a Warehouse box.
+thePaindog if you reaquire a node in which you previously invested energy but disconnected it, will it be back to level 1 or the level it was when you left it ?
This video will help a lot of people that are still kind of clueless about Black Desert Online, I agree that the game is complex after all, but once you understand the game itself you might enjoy it or hate it (because grind). Thank you for making this video.
I watched the entire video, my only complaint would be its too long, you are going off on tangents, if you redid this, with each point sharp and consise you could shave off about 10 minutes and people would be able to absorb a lot more of the information you are trying to relay. I have this video bookmarked because i will watch it again once more closer to launch, but i still feel my point stands.
+Keith Simon I totally agree with you, its hard to not be in streamer mode where I need to fill 8-10 hours of content. I'll try to learn to youtube instead lol
Gotta say Pain, after playing BDO for a week in Korea .... this video is IMMENSELY useful. So much I didn't realize, yet so simple! Many thanks my man.
Thankkkk youuuu for this. omg.. answered sooo many of my "this looks interesting what is it about" like questions while also giving deeper insight to the game and it's mechanics and the world. Sooo looking forward to this coming to NA now.
rekrn12345 most likely that won't happen... not for this game.. if u played it you'll know what im talking about.. don't worry no portals or fast travels will be added
Dustin Larousse yes i kno ive been playing since obt and when i meant "no automated transportation function" i meant there are no NPCs that u can talk to that will put u on a horse or wagon that will take u to ur destination automatically
and autowalk has problems with walls or fences. its better to be at the pc while auto moving, or u will find urself stuck at a fence and killed by some trash mobs
+thePaindog Sad this game is gonna be hosted from San jose californa. It made me refund my conquerers pack. I refuse to play california based servers. After league of legends making me quit back in 2011(among other reasons) fucking 120+ ping from michigan to league of legends cali server BULLSHIT REFUSE TO DO THAT EVER AGAIN! if they launch with no USA east server I'll be not playing the game at all.
+ToryLeagueOfLegends Wow yeah 120 ping can be frustrating I understand what you mean. Maybe you can try out the CBT 1 or 2 to see what it will be like for you. Follow Black desert online on twitter and facebook and you could grab a key maybe
+thePaindog nah its cool, the game's community is gonna be pretty shitty just by reading their forums. I can tell. Plus the RNG upgrading system is garbage too. I'll just stick to blade and soul, it's ok. I guess I hoped too much for 2 mmorpgs that had dev's with braincells when it came to hosting servers in NA in 2016.
This game is not 'grindy' at all imho. In a grindy game you cant progress without killing thousands of mobs without breaks or distractions. With so much to do in the game I dont see how people could ever be forced to do that. If being the highest level is your goal, then yes you will need to grind mobs, but there are so many other amazing things to do when you get bored that it cant be called a 'grindfest'. I just dont want people to get the impression from your comments that at some point, you will simply be hanging around in one area AOEing down mobs for hours on end with nothing else to do.
I've been playing the korean version semi-casually, and some of these tips were actually very helpful - especially with NA launch basically around the corner. So thanks man! :D
+TheRyumancer They can't take your cart they can kill your cart or mount and if you have any "trade items" (items you bring to a trade npc) on it you can loose some of that to them
+TheRyumancer Yeah, actually I expect something like in Archeage when it comes to that. I just hope there will be a few counter methods to griefing your trade runs. But even if they do, somehow humans like to cause damage to others, so surely some people will find a way.
TheRyumancer Actually it's a damn fine game, if it were for a different publisher. But Trion destroyed the game entirely. The game is based on pvp and the cash shop destroys pvp and as such the whole game. Normally I don't use the term "p2w", but here it's so much pay to win that there are people who spent around 3000€ to get the best gear and are now just trolling other players ...
Thinks so much for putting this together. This video is definitely informative and it's a great piece of video content to show Guild communities who are still unsure or simply not aware of BDO. Such a fantastic game, i cannot wait until CBT2 and March 3rd. :D
+Sam M Eh? What do you mean? I'm super pumped for this game, the combat looks really fun, but I'm not a fan of grind whatsoever so I hope the NA BDO will be highly pvp based.
Super Useful video. I am waiting for the US/EU launch and this video is going to help out a lot, and i enjoyed just you showing off some of the cool systems in the game. This channel will blow up once the US/EU servers go live!
i have been playing BD on cbt 1 and 2 now and few things i did'nt knew and learned, by searching for videos and stuff's i liked your video most of it. great work mate.
Started a bit slow and rambly but I continued watching because of the high upvote count and oh boy am I glad I did. This video is a gem! Thanks for making this!
I love this game. I'm learning a lot from your vid. Lol I really love the idea of taking your cart out in order to grind more. Talk about going well prepared. There's just SO much to this game. Thanks for making this for us. I was in the NA CBT1. It was really neat
This was incredibly helpful! The game is huge and it's easy to miss faster and quicker ways to go through the motions and be efficient. I'm lvl38 just starting my first character and this gave me so many great tools to get rid of some headaches i've been getting from trying to get used to the game. Runescape vet so it's not that bad, but lots of things in this game i was new to :p
BDO is the best RpG MmO i have played in a decade, since my Early EverQuest days and then my WoW days. In 25 years of mmo s i have never seen a game with so many types of attacks skills and abilities. I decided to play BdO on my Ps4 Pro over my PC because it just launched and was new and even on a 4k consol 3840X2160 is seriously beautiful and stunning. Yes you need to work your butt off to get a high gear score, but its very enjoyable and im having a blast. I did super enjoy ESO at one time, i played the first 2 years after release on PC, then another few months on ps4 after i bought one. Afew months after i started on ps4 Zeni Max released One Tamriel, which level scaled the entire world, syncing every players gear to level 50. At level 1 you have the same stats as a level 50 and each time you level up you need to replace (Not upgrade) your gear to get your stats back to level 50, lol its the most pointless system i have ever seen and for an RpG or Mmo its horrible, there is NO character progression, which makes leveling a character useless and a waste of time. Very stupid that you can level to max level, and never have to leave the starting area, because every npc mob/enemy in the entire game is scaled to the same level and stats OMFG whoever came up with this idea had no brains. No level 2 player that just started the game has any right defeating a level 50 that spent 200 hours. EQ will always be my all time favorite mmo, but BDO definitely is my favorite RpG MmO in 2019. Unreal that i can hotkey 64 skills just on the D pad alone and also certain combinations of anolog direction and buttons, its so amazing i love Black Desert.
i have a few questions, i hope you dont mind!! - it looks like you have two pets following you/summoned at the same time, is there a limit to that or is one of them attached to a quest? - do pets have any equipment that can be attached to them yet, such as collars or armor? - do pets gather loot from bodies? - are the pets decently priced in whatever shop they come from? - is pvp an open world experience, or do you have to get to a certain level and "toggle" it? - is there a karma system for people who spawn kill low levels?
Hey, PD! Thanks so much for this video! VERY informative and VERY well done! About to get into the US CB2 in a few hours now. I've watched this game since the Korean closed betas. Finally, it's here and I can't wait to jump in. I'm going to take my time and enjoy this journey to 50 and beyond. I'm definitely subbing, and will take a look at your twitch channel. Thanks so much again for the video! Best, John
Yeps, gotta say, you showed me stuff on this game that awoke my interest and also parts that I detest but atleast I get an idea of that I can expect from Black Desert. Great job, keep it up!
I was so hoping that more mmo's would follow guild wars 2 style of questing (with dynamic and area quests with no quest givers) and level adjust and lock depending on area so you can continuously quest anywhere, to include lower level areas.
Guuuud inf dude ! Thanks. But there is something im not agree with. Its about trading the right item to the right npc to double your cash income. Mostly you will need to spend 2 times more time to get to those NPCs, so basicly you can go sell to closest vendor, then go loot more & return and sell again for the time you wil spend to get to vendor that will give you a double amount, it is only reasonable if you are changing your leveling/grinding locations moving on further the world map & gating closer to the NPC that will offer you the highest value.
Thanks for the video. Wasn't really interested in BDO till I heard you explain some systems and whatnot. I'm still going to be focusing on B&S, as its a different type of game entirely, but now I'm actually going to give this a try.
Okay I have a question for you. When renting the storage box for your warehouse, is it bound to the city you rented it in? For example, if you rent it from Altonova, is it bound to the default warehouse there? Or can I, for example, expand my contribution nodes from Altonova to another city, and combine my warehouses like that? If so, will I have access to both warehouses from the rental box ?
Assuming the combat is well done and super fun, then getting xp by grinding monsters will be a blast, and won't feel like a grind, even if that's what it is. This is what I am hoping for, this game has me pretty psyched.
I am total noob when it gets to games. Been pretty stubborn sticking around on Archeage. But knew this game was calling my name and only game I'll at the time take interest in playing. Just found out it is in Beta. Missing the CBT1 though sadly. So I'll have to wait for whenever CBT2 comes out and in the main time while waiting watch videos like this :) it really was helpful, although I've not played the game yet it's given me a an understanding, and hope I don't forget any of this by time I play :D anyways tyvm :)
Really great overview and tips there Paindog! Thanks for the vid. Just one thing... 25:50 scared the carp outta me! I'm not trying to be mean, but I was staring at the screen listening to these tips then... bam! Why hello there freaky... Gave me a jolt, thanks lol.
Yeah I was like level 15 before kind of started to understand about the mission chains and gaining knowledge about NPC's and that opening up more quest options, etc. Kind of why I like playing the beta of games, helps you get through some of the early learning curves for release. :) That and youtube heh.
The visual design of this video is great! I just wish you had better sound quality, that would really make it a five star experience here. Well presented, very good delivery!
The whole time I was watching I was in awe on how amazing all this looks. I really hope that there is some story to it, but more importantly I hope that this is a proceduraly generated world.
+thePaindog What I mean was a world where the admins update the story quests and create new ones here and there, but to be honest I think that MMO's are lacking in the most important story part, the conclusiuon, most MMO's that I played failed to show a major crisis for me to work for and got really boring, if Sword Art Online type MMO's was ever done I think it would be the most popular because the goal of it was the 100th level, I can get behind a goal like that.
Questions, do you get a different warehouse for each location? If that's the case, does each magic box only connect to one warehouse? And lastly, how do nodes fit into all of it?
Question about the warehouse box for your house. You used the word "rent" and i was wondering if that means, in order to have the storage box in your house, you actually rent it, meaning you need to may a reoccurring fee to maintain the use of the box? Or is it a one time purchase, and once you have it, you always have it, atleast for the one warehouse -> house box connection.
Sorry if I missed this in the video. How do you keep track of where you can sell things to for the most profit, and is there an easy way to check, or do you have to go there to find out, and remember? Also do the prices for these rates fluctuate?
Take a carriage on your boat to the pirate island for extra storage. Your knowledge carries over to your family so mobs will die fast. You can take your super geared alts to areas 4+ levels above and farm very fast.
Great video, question about weight is that something you can increase as you go along ? and when you find armor does it get better as you level or is ALL the cool stuff cosmetic and have to purchased with $ ?
Really hoping they will make hardcore servers with full loot PVP (or at least everything in your inventory, maybe not equipped gear). That just adds so mcuh tension in an openworld game like this and im really looking for that in my next MMO. Currently patiently waiting for Albion Online and Black Desert.
I've been keeping track of this game ever since it was announced they'd be making a NA version. So close now! Totally dropping $100 on that preorder which.. is stupid of me. But I can't help it, I'm so excited and I like shinies. Great video btw!
"you really have to get someone mad for them to want to kill your cart" aha, guessing youve never heard of griefers or have never played another mmo before. you must be new here.
Damn this game looks awesome and just plain fun. Been waiting for a MMORPG to immerse myself in since... Dark Age of Camelot... good times. Can't wait to try this one.
when does the game release? icant find it, and if i pre order it, can i play like a beta or something. 1 more thing, what is a "premium" account, you told us u'll get a drop every day if u have a premium account, is that only on a 99€ account or on a 30 or 50 too? im up for the 50€
+thePaindog Dude so I preordered the game xD I never in my life in years ever have. It's just have the things I want tht AA lacks! I will take my time. ANd it will be rewarding xD Ur video is so useful.
In your opinion, what is the most efficient/ best class for farming? I have heard many say Giant, and many others say Valkyrie/ kunoichi. I'm more leaning towards Valkyrie, as I've heard it is also great in pvp, but I would appreciate any opinions you have to offer.
Hey man thanks for this video I'm trying to learn as much as I can about it before the NA release :) This video will be very helpful educationally for me
I've been wondering, when your renting the container from the warehouse guy, does the storage applies to every container you have in every single residence? Great tips and Thanks! :)
So I wondered whether it would be good to level my main by questing because you get energy and contribution points etc. And my alts through grinding? What do you think??
One thing i was curious on, that would draw me even more towards the game, is that considering the different aspects of the game, such as no fast travel and it being pvp oriented, would it be possible for a guild or a group of people to sort of start a business and make money? A business such as escorting players safely to their destination or anything along those lines? MMO's are getting pretty repetitive, and so a game that sort of allows players to do their own thing within a games mechanics such as EVE for example would be pretty cool, that combined with an mmo might make for an interesting experience.
+thePaindog I heard there was a slight parkour system in the game that allows you to climb stuff kinda like in Assassin's Creed. Is that true?
+TheRyumancer Yup you can climb over almost anything and it is pretty cool but not quite like AC. In AC you can kind or sport climb up buildings but BDO is more of a ledge to ledge climb not a wall climb
thePaindog That's badass, man. I look forward to playing this.
thePaindog
Still a one-up over most MMOs out there I'm pretty sure. Thanks for the info. :)
Personally I don't see myself leaving character creator any less than an hour or 2.
+Nogitsune I know same here xD I take long as hell in the sims(3+4) I can imagine here. That's the point though.
+Nogitsune I'll be in that creator for hours when it comes to NA cuz I will be creating all my characters at once. I think I get 7 slots with the Guardian Package so It will be a while!
+thePaindog yeah 7, it's pretty neat how many you get for starters :) well that's for those that paid the $100 :)
Though I doubt I will use them up all that quick :P
+ClipOnSunglasses XD
"That whole "Action-MMO" minigame that they added into it."
lol
I do love creating a character tho :( I missed CBT1, which means I have to wait to play :(
I was hoping installing will give me just enough time to create a character but no joke it took 10 hours maybe more to install -_- IDK I ended up going to sleep maybe even 12 D:
Maybe even longer 😏
200,000 views !?!?!?!? wow ! What? Thank you so very very much everyone!
+thePaindog I just saw game is coming out 3.3.2016 so i went to check videos and found your :D
+thePaindog Just a recommendation you need to balance your mic, you are really really quiet, and the music drowns you out a bit.
+zach w Get some decent headphones mate, I can hear him fine with my Logitech 980's.
People who don't have good headphones/speakers will have a hard time hearing him.
money has weight? that's a novel concept
+Julian Laureano There's a currency exchange where you can turn it into gold bars that weigh less but you cannot spend it when it's in that form.
+Julian Laureano The weight take a really heavy toll on you. Only carrying 300k cost you half of your total carry-able weight.
The weight mostly depends on the quantity not the quality of the item.
For example a plate armor only cost 0.5lt but a single hp potion is like 0.15lt and if you carry 200 of them, it plunder like 20lt approximately~
That's why the wagon is really necessary.
+ethan Sawada lol you think i can analyze this much information and I don't know about the gold bar? Aren't you selling me a bit short here?
+Julian Laureano No it is not, Early textbased MUD's and EverQuest both have money that weighs.... :)
+Julian Laureano Time to invent the Credit Card.
Wow 25k views THANK YOU so very much everyone! Completely unexpected.
+thePaindog Video deserves it. Anyway I got a question you might be able to answer.
Is there enough pvp for individual pvp oriented players or is it like "join a huge guild or else forget about pvp"?
+TheNaughtyPetey Its more like join a guild if you want to take full advantage of what this games has to offer
+Ben Faulkner Ctrl U
+thePaindog When you rented the Warehouse box, is it an actual rental? For example, after 5 days does it disappear etc? Would love to know why its called a rental vs just a Warehouse box.
+thePaindog if you reaquire a node in which you previously invested energy but disconnected it, will it be back to level 1 or the level it was when you left it ?
This is the only "things I wish I knew before playing" video I actually enjoyed, found helpful and took notes from. Keep up the work man.
700,000 Views ?!?! Thank you guys so very much I love all of you!!!!
Good video, thank you!!
shut up already
Paindonger 800k xD
1 million views now!
1 million views, new comment pls Kappa

+Nano Flux Like i said, i couldnt hold on to most of his advice, and i had to rewatch it.
Gotta say Pain, after playing BDO for a week in Korea .... this video is IMMENSELY useful. So much I didn't realize, yet so simple! Many thanks my man.
Your horse looks so sick :o lol
I have been playing the NA/EU Alpha so these tips were very useful. Thanks! ^~^
+Icee Thank you so very much Icee!
is alpha invite only?
+Julian Laureano Yes it is and will only be running until Nov1
thePaindog Today is the last day, and it hurt knowing so
+Icee IKR? I need bdo in my life all the time!
Thankkkk youuuu for this. omg.. answered sooo many of my "this looks interesting what is it about" like questions while also giving deeper insight to the game and it's mechanics and the world. Sooo looking forward to this coming to NA now.
Half a million views? Thank you so much everyone! Imma cry with da happy tears!
+thePaindog Can I know what's the name of the intro music? 0:00 - 0:10? Thanks
+Robee Nathaniel Tan shezam the fuck out of it
Oh my goodness...for someone that has only played for roughly 3 days now this is immensely helpful!
Is there no fast travel in this game? If not that would be great i miss games where you actually had to exist within and explore the world.
No portal no fast travel no automated transportation functions what so ever... U either run or ride horse back to travel
roksoulja84
Hopefully they don't fuck up the US release by adding portals at every town.
rekrn12345 most likely that won't happen... not for this game.. if u played it you'll know what im talking about.. don't worry no portals or fast travels will be added
This video made me feel alot more secure with my own derp-level start to the game.
holy crap the audio is low
Just found this game. Not much of a mmorpg guy...Totally overwhelmed. This video found its target audience. Thanks a TON!
Wow this was very helpful information! Thank you! :)
+The Betrayer Thx man!
+thePaindog Sad this game is gonna be hosted from San jose californa.
It made me refund my conquerers pack.
I refuse to play california based servers.
After league of legends making me quit back in 2011(among other reasons)
fucking 120+ ping from michigan to league of legends cali server
BULLSHIT
REFUSE TO DO THAT EVER AGAIN!
if they launch with no USA east server I'll be not playing the game at all.
+ToryLeagueOfLegends hm. If you were to stay, youd probably contribute to the "shitty community". You complain and talk shit too much.
Best, most concise vid of all the things I was wondering about before the US launch. Thanks for taking the time and for doing such a good job.
25:50 dat face
This video is definitely one of the more informative BDO videos i've watched. Thanks man!
+Omega Contagion Happy you liked it!

Hold up. If you go out and grind with a cart, couldn't another player come by and surprise kill you and take your cart?
+TheRyumancer They can't take your cart they can kill your cart or mount and if you have any "trade items" (items you bring to a trade npc) on it you can loose some of that to them
thePaindog
Sounds like they could still rob you. I gotta be careful when I get the game then. Human Users can be the most vile beings on any game.
+TheRyumancer Yeah, actually I expect something like in Archeage when it comes to that.
I just hope there will be a few counter methods to griefing your trade runs.
But even if they do, somehow humans like to cause damage to others, so surely some people will find a way.
Rhialy
I was quite close to trying ArcheAge out. But I heard it encountered all sorts of problems not long after launch.
For new players that don't like to grind, you don't need to change game. You can do other stuff, make money and get fucking strong
15:10 what is he doing? Guy with the wands.
+Dan021 that's an NPC. It's a kid playing with those sparklers fireworks. Mostly decoration. Sometimes it's a bunch of kids playing together.
+Dan021 I never said it was Meth.
+Dan021 having a stroke
+Dan021 dont mind him, just smoked to much and passing by with style, you know.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Very happy to have found this video, just trying to learn as much as possible for the NA release to have a smooth time.
28:14 '' dump my loads '' nice
Thank you for taking the time to make this wonderful guide :) Learned some handy tips for CBT2!
What if players buy or own the same house or guild castle?
+Eric Tippett Housing is instanced for players but I believe guilds owning a castle is not. was unable to test that though.
Thanks!
Very well explained, I look forward to this game being released this year.
+Buffo march 3rd
+Buffo its coming out the 3rd of March, Its close now :)
34 minutes! Ain't nobody got time for that!
Thinks so much for putting this together. This video is definitely informative and it's a great piece of video content to show Guild communities who are still unsure or simply not aware of BDO. Such a fantastic game, i cannot wait until CBT2 and March 3rd. :D
Sigh.. Farming is not for me :( Otherwise game looks cool!
+rakh hkar You can have the NPC's farm for you in this game.
sounds awesome :)
This channel will blow up once the US/EU servers go live!
cute how ur saying dollar instead of silver as if 1 silver would equal 1 dollar hahaha
It used to. :( #endthefed
i have been playing BD on cbt 1 and 2 now and few things i did'nt knew and learned, by searching for videos and stuff's i liked your video most of it. great work mate.
This looks better than The Witcher 3
+tzlawina the witcher 3 is a single player rpg game. this is a vast KMMO game (k = korean) so theyre completly different.
+okamichan02 i think he was talking graphics wise
Dakota Savage ah. but even so, hed have to mean it character wise, because world wise, full graphs witcher surpasses this.
+tzlawina rly ? have u even played witcher 3 ? i may compare them but saying this is better than witcher .... :D
+tzlawina lol what? Witcher literally looks 3x as good as this game graphics wise, this game is already 2 years old
i watched a lot of guide vids for BDO and yet i learned much greater with this video of yours thank you so much
Started a bit slow and rambly but I continued watching because of the high upvote count and oh boy am I glad I did.
This video is a gem!
Thanks for making this!
Wow! Thanks!
Just started playing yesterday. This really helped me.
beautiful game.
One of the best videos i've seen for anyone wanting to play the game. nice work!
Just picked up the NA version. Can't wait to play tonight! Thanks for the great tips!
Thank you for sharing your experiences. I agree its so beautiful !
i have a few questions, i hope you dont mind!!
Best,
John
You go off on so many tangents it's hard to keep attention, when you actually get to your points though it's very informative. Thanks for the vid.
Yeps, gotta say, you showed me stuff on this game that awoke my interest and also parts that I detest but atleast I get an idea of that I can expect from Black Desert. Great job, keep it up!
Best black desert information video I've seen so far! THANK you SO much :D
I was so hoping that more mmo's would follow guild wars 2 style of questing (with dynamic and area quests with no quest givers) and level adjust and lock depending on area so you can continuously quest anywhere, to include lower level areas.
this video actually helped me a lot in bdo i didn't know sh** about nodes and i felt like going around in circles when doing quests.
+motorkiko Thank you so much :)
That alt teleportation thing really reminds me of Eve Online's market economy. Moving things there takes real time as well.
Love this~ You sold me on the game! Now I have to play. Everything looks fantastic!
Thanks, Paindog for the tips. I just bought the explorer pack and can't wait to play the game on NA servers.
Thanks for the video. Wasn't really interested in BDO till I heard you explain some systems and whatnot. I'm still going to be focusing on B&S, as its a different type of game entirely, but now I'm actually going to give this a try.
This game actually looks very very good. I might get back to MMORPGs again. It's been more than 10 years since I last played one.
Thanks for the great vid! I've played other games where I wish there were things I had known before I started. Thanks again!
Assuming the combat is well done and super fun, then getting xp by grinding monsters will be a blast, and won't feel like a grind, even if that's what it is. This is what I am hoping for, this game has me pretty psyched.
+Joshua Barnard combat is really fluid and addicting at times....just grinding...grinding...youll see..
I am total noob when it gets to games. Been pretty stubborn sticking around on Archeage. But knew this game was calling my name and only game I'll at the time take interest in playing. Just found out it is in Beta. Missing the CBT1 though sadly. So I'll have to wait for whenever CBT2 comes out and in the main time while waiting watch videos like this :) it really was helpful, although I've not played the game yet it's given me a an understanding, and hope I don't forget any of this by time I play :D
anyways tyvm :)
Thanks for all the intel, I wish more people would do this after all were all a big family .
Ill follow you for ever lol. Good job.
Closed Beta 1 just ended, wish I had watched this video before playing haha. Will use these tips in Closed Beta 2, thanks a lot!
+jayb198083 Not proceduraly generated but still very large and nice place to hang out in
+thePaindog What I mean was a world where the admins update the story quests and create new ones here and there, but to be honest I think that MMO's are lacking in the most important story part, the conclusiuon, most MMO's that I played failed to show a major crisis for me to work for and got really boring, if Sword Art Online type MMO's was ever done I think it would be the most popular because the goal of it was the 100th level, I can get behind a goal like that.
+jayb198083 That would defiantly make the world feel more "alive"
+thePaindog Then can you imagine Black Desert online graphics on an Oculus Rift, ohhhh, I just started drooling
A bit long for the amount of info in it.
But they were surely important tips.
It'll be really helpful. Thanks!!
Questions, do you get a different warehouse for each location? If that's the case, does each magic box only connect to one warehouse? And lastly, how do nodes fit into all of it?
Good information! Especially about the warehousing and character trading. Going to save a lot of time.
Question about the warehouse box for your house. You used the word "rent" and i was wondering if that means, in order to have the storage box in your house, you actually rent it, meaning you need to may a reoccurring fee to maintain the use of the box? Or is it a one time purchase, and once you have it, you always have it, atleast for the one warehouse -> house box connection.
the container/ warehouse renting is amazing, I wish I watch this way way way earlier, I'm lvl 57 and I still do not know this
Sorry if I missed this in the video. How do you keep track of where you can sell things to for the most profit, and is there an easy way to check, or do you have to go there to find out, and remember?
Also do the prices for these rates fluctuate?
+Sean Davis From all i have seen they prices can fluctuate depending on how many people (not sure about quantity) trade them into certain npcs.
this game is so complex! contrary to the overall trend of dumbing everything down, i like it!
I wish these games could make up their mind as to when and what they represent... That being said it does look amazing.
Take a carriage on your boat to the pirate island for extra storage.
Your knowledge carries over to your family so mobs will die fast.
You can take your super geared alts to areas 4+ levels above and farm very fast.
I went back and did all my missions at lvl 43. I did the exact same thing black desert is a very deep game you could say.
Great video, question about weight is that something you can increase as you go along ? and when you find armor does it get better as you level or is ALL the cool stuff cosmetic and have to purchased with $ ?
Do you need to buy another one of those chests to place in a new home? Or will you just be able to place it at each?
Really hoping they will make hardcore servers with full loot PVP (or at least everything in your inventory, maybe not equipped gear). That just adds so mcuh tension in an openworld game like this and im really looking for that in my next MMO. Currently patiently waiting for Albion Online and Black Desert.
I've been keeping track of this game ever since it was announced they'd be making a NA version. So close now! Totally dropping $100 on that preorder which.. is stupid of me. But I can't help it, I'm so excited and I like shinies. Great video btw!
+flappidyjack I did the same so see you in NA if you are joining it or have fun in EU if you are joining there
@thepaindog Great information i just picked up the game yesterday and so far i love the grind!
Really great video mate! Really helped me out getting ready for NA/EU release! :D
Great video thanks for the tips :D bought the Conquers Edition so i am very pumped for this game.
"you really have to get someone mad for them to want to kill your cart" aha, guessing youve never heard of griefers or have never played another mmo before. you must be new here.
+Whiskiz Yo it's possible that the cart takes a lot of time to kill? idk to much about this game so correct me if im wrong
+Dustin Larousse I am seriously looking forward to killing carts. For no reason other than to make casual PvE'ers mad.
+Anthony Jordan What a turd of a human being you must be.
***** You have no idea.
+Anthony Jordan not something to be proud of, buddy.
Damn this game looks awesome and just plain fun. Been waiting for a MMORPG to immerse myself in since... Dark Age of Camelot... good times. Can't wait to try this one.
when does the game release? icant find it, and if i pre order it, can i play like a beta or something. 1 more thing, what is a "premium" account, you told us u'll get a drop every day if u have a premium account, is that only on a 99€ account or on a 30 or 50 too? im up for the 50€
Wow thanks, definitely will come back to this video.
+PlatinumCyGirl I'm happy you enjoyed the vid thx!
+Deadeyes Best is Ranger and witch/wizard for farming
As soon as you started talking about the cart being destroyed by other players, the trolls started to prepare a launch on this game. XD
You know what I like more than Black Desert? Knowledge!
Great video with great tips. I am wanting to get into this game and I am sure your tips will come in handy!
Thanks for the video, really looking forward to the NA launch and this has helped already.
